The Humble Weekly Bundle: Brawlers + Image Comics Bundle 2: Image Firsts bonuses

New to Humble Bundle? The first post has lots of info.

200th post! Was hoping to have an awesome main bundle to put here, but, eh, it's taking this week off. Maybe next week? :)

Important change to Steam redemption:

Steam is apparently removing support for OAuth, the way Humble currently (er, used to) redeem games to your account--that was the whole sign-in to Steam, click a button, allow Humble some access to your account thing. As such, Humble has gone back to providing regular 'ol Steam keys that have to be redeemed in the client. The OAuth system was really useful for figuring out what keys you had and hadn't redeemed, so that's a bit unfortunate. Oh well. :(

Humble's official announcement can be found here. You'll still be using the OAuth system for any unredeemed keys from purchases made when the system was active.

I think I'm going to stop posting about EVERY bundle, starting now. I'll basically only post guaranteed AWESOME stuff from now on. :)

This week had some odd bonuses for the Card Game Bundle, some bonuses for Mobile 10, some bonuses for the Archie Comics bundle, and a Weekly that may or may not be of good quality. In short, it's an OK week--not super-amazing.

I started this thread about three years ago when Humble was just getting into monthly bundles, and they were all incredible, or at least novel. I wanted to share these awesome bundles, in part to make up for my fairly low contributions. Naturally, when Humble started Weekly Bundles, and back-to-back main bundles, it still made sense to cover them all, because they were all still pretty amazing.

But then the Weeklies became a little less strong, and then we got the Flash Bundles, and the Daily Bundles, and the Mobile Bundles. All of these were all right, but none were super-incredible--I was only buying maybe a third of them myself. The posts were becoming longer, and less fun to make. But, I was still covering every bundle--maybe other people were more interested in them, and if I've gone this far, maybe I should continue to create a fairly comprehensive Humble archive. But as time has gone on, Humble has hit a real critical mass with their continued Indie and AAA bundles; the people who are interested in niche-er bundles probably hear about them when they happen, and plenty of other people effectively archive what bundles happen when.

Additionally, Humble has started listing a lot of the info I list themselves, increasing my redundancy--my posts have become less useful, information-wise. Combine that with the fact that this would have been the seventh or eighth post in a row I'm dragging myself to make, and the answer seems fairly clear: Only cover AWESOME bundles. Main bundles and Weeklies I can nigh-guarantee are good, a few novel Book Bundles, and maybe a Mobile Bundle here or there--but I'll still list the rest of the bundles under a "Also happening this week..." section. Yeah. I think that'll work. :)
