Just to keep the conversation going, whilst Celever and bb hopefully find time to do the challenge, how's everybodys day been? Are y'all doing anything exciting this weekend?
Is something happening this weekend besides Celever and I do Challenge submissions? o.o

They're going on each of our vacations as part of the judging process. Since there are about 10 participants left multiplied by ~7 days each, expect to see results in about 2 1/2 months.

Le Grand Tour: A Kalos and Hoenn Cross-Regional Extravaganza

*Based off of a spring program I took part in last year when I “toured” France*

A journey unlike all others! In just a week you, along with your tour guides Dexio and Sina, will get to immerse in the regions of Kalos AND Hoenn. Take part in the decadent lifestyle of Kalosians during the first half of the tour. Visit marvelous locations including Laverre City, Geosenge Town, Cyllage City, and even Lumiose City. The journey continues further when you get to visit the tropical region of Hoenn. Travel the region by flying on Latias and Latios, along with your new tour guides for the region, Brendan and May! Hoenn will have many things planned for you just like Kalos did, and you will get to end the week in the most popular get-away there, the Battle Resort.

Day 1: Laverre City – In the city that comes straight out of a storybook, breathe in the fairy tale air and bask in the grandeur of nature and the giant tree that serves as the landmark for Laverre City. You’re your guides to the Kalos region Dexio and Sina as they help you tour the inside of the tree which houses the city’s gym, and even get the chance to meet its gym leader Valerie! Watch and exhibition match and learn about the ins and outs to Pokémon battling and the newly discovered Fairy-Type. Later on, tour the Pokeball Factory and watch how those little things are created. You even get to keep one as a souvenir! A private plane awaits you at the end of the day to fly you out to Cyllage City, where you will rest for the night. Hotel will provide food and accommodations.

Day 2: Cyllage City – Have a special breakfast at the café and then pick up your bikes at the bike shop. Head north to Geosenge Town and visit the ruins caused by the infamous Team Flare and their leader Lysandre. After that, head back to Cyllage City where you will head south and visit the Aquarium just south of its border. Make your way back to town afterwards for some relaxation at its beaches and even go rock climbing in the city’s Gym. Hotel Cyllage will be providing you with your services for the night once again.

Day 3: Lumiose City pt. I - On your bikes, you will ride your hearts out and bike all the way to Lumiose City. On your way there you will make a pit stop at Parfum Palace and explore its rich history, decadence, and its vast garden. Afterwards continue on your way to Lumiose where Professor Sycamore awaits your guides show you around the massive city. Wrap up the activities by taking a cooking lesson in one of Lumiose’s most well-known restaurants, Restaurant Le Wow. Hotel Richissime will be providing your room and services for the night.

Day 4: Lumiose City pt. II – Drop the bikes for the day and pick up some Gogoats to ride throughout the city! Your first activity of the day will be a grooming lesson at Friseur Furfrou where you will learn how to groom and style Furfrou! Have lunch at the local Café Woof and ride those Gogoats to Prism Tower where you will get to scale the tower and watch trainers try to make their way to the top. Meet its Gym Leader Clemont and he will give you your own complimentary gym badges. Take the elevator down to head back to the hotel and pack up for your overnight flight to the Hoenn Region.

Day 5: Slateport City – You will arrive at the beautiful ports of Slateport City. Part ways with Dexio and Sina and meet Brendan and May, your new guides! Head down to the beaches to play around and soak up that Hoenn sun. Then head back to the main city to visit the museum there. Browse the market there and sample its many tasty foods. Visit the contest hall and particiate in a Contest Spectacular with a Cosplay Pikachu ready for you to use and dress up. Head back to the ports afterwards to meet your new form of transportation, Mega Latios and Latias. Fly on them to Lillycove City where you will rest for the night at its hotel there.

Day 6: Lillycove City – Jump back on those colorful dragons and make your way to the Safari Zone where you will get to pick up your own Trainer License and Safari Balls, and get to catching your own Pokémon! Catch your own Pokémon from the grand variety there including Heracross, Phanpy, Houndour, and so much more! Fly back to Lillycove to witness a special performance by Contest Spectacular idol Lisia and her Mega Altaria Ali. Rest up for the night for your final destination in your vacation.

Day 7: Battle Resort – Usually reserved for those who have trumped the Elite Four, your guides have pulled some strings (and maybe bribed a person or two) to get you to the wondrous Battle Resort for your final day. Head up to the Battle Maison to watch some trainers and the Battle Chatelaines duke it out on the battlefield. If you’re feeling tough enough, you could even participate in the battles. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the beach and just taking in the tropical resort as you forget about having to return to being hosts after the trip is all over.

Price of the total vacation $2500 + $500 for insurance covering about everything.

Mora
Day 1:

You'll arrive by rocket ship at Mossdeep Space Center at approximately 4:00 PM. Personally, I believe a rocket ship is a bit excessive, but since you insisted (and a few strings were pulled), the Space Center will be happy to accommodate. A ferry leaves for Lilycove at 7:00 PM where you will be staying at the Lily Cove Inn, giving you a few hours to look around Mossdeep. There are several places for you to explore on the island such as the Game Corner, City Gym, and even the Space Center where you landed. Also Camoclone lives there; you should say hi. Whatever you do, be sure to grab a bite to eat before boarding the ferry. Once the ferry arrives in Lily Cove, you should check into the Lily Cove Inn.

Day 2:

Enjoy free continental breakfast before hitting Lilycove’s serene beaches because what would any summer vacation be without sand and tan lines. You have $200 to spend here, which may seem like a lot for a beach, but with jet ski rentals and parasailing being quite expensive, it should be rather appropriate. Just be sure to save enough to grab food from one of the vendors on the beach.

You’ll be doing some more outdoor exploring in the afternoon at the Safari Zone just outside of town. This is the perfect place to make rare additions to your team. A general admission fee of $30 each gets you access to an all you can catch buffet of exotic specimens, an observation deck where you can watch Pokemon in their natural habitat, and, yes, the petting zoo. Loads of fun for the whole family: Celever and bbninjas.

As soon as you’re done petting the wild Shroomish (not advised), head on back to town for dinner, and then it’s off to the Lilycove Museum of Art. There are numerous paintings by up and coming artists and even a few classical works such as The Birth of Venusaur (Botticelli), Madonna of the Red Cherubies (Bellini), and Staryu Night (Van Gogh). You also have the option to listen to guest speaker Wallace’s seminar on how the representation of the bonds that people and Pokemon share has shaped Hoenn culture… or something like that.

Day 3:

Once again, there’s breakfast in the Inn, but make it quick because at 9:30, the S.S. Tidal departs for the Battle Resort. Today, the Battle Resort is hosting the annual Hoenn Poke Con, the largest Pokemon Convention in the region. There will be lots to do. Explore the island and take part in the world’s largest unsanctioned VGC tournament. Enjoy causal battles with fellow convention-goers. Shop exclusive items and rare tutor moves. Listen to various panels hosted by top trainers and Pokemon experts. Let’s just say you won’t have any problems staying busy for the entire day. There’s even a sanctioned TCG League Challenge; I hope bbninjas remembered to bring his deck. You each have $200 to spend at the convention, but save enough for two expensive meals at the convention. You know how they jack food prices at places like that. Catch the ferry back to Lilycove whenever you’re ready; it runs every hour starting at 4 PM. If you have yet to check out the Lilycove Department Store and have some money left over, this will be your last chance.

Day 4:

Today is time for a change in scenery. At 9:00 AM, you will be embarking on a one day cruise to Sunnyshore City in the Sinnoh region. This is nothing to scoff at. Board Aqua Inc.’s finest ship in the fleet of fun, Archie’s Ace featuring a miniature water park, tropical themed bar (The legal drinking age in international waters is still 21 fyi.), and life size chess set above deck and a casino, arcade, and gym below deck. There’s also all of the free food you can eat; I sincerely hope you don’t get seasick.

The cruise ship will dock in Sunnyshore around 4:45 PM. You will need to check into your room at Hotel Grand Lake, and you have reservations for the Seven Stars Restaurant at 7:30 PM. (Contrary to its title, it only has five stars.) Take any extra time you have to look around the city. Some notable landmarks are the Vista Lighthouse, where you can gaze out at the vast expanse of sea to the east, Sunnyshore Market, the perfect place for souvenirs with imports from around the world, and of course the city gym, where you can challenge Gym Leader Volkner and his Electric team of Pokemon. If none of those suit you, you can always stare at Pokemon Rock until your table is ready; as you can probably gather from its name, it’s a rock that looks like a Pokemon. Big surprise.

Day 5:

In case you weren’t aware, Hotel Grande Lake is one of Sinnoh’s most popular resorts. That’s right. It’s time for a vacation from your vacation because all of this vacationing stuff was just way too exhausting. How do you people do it? There’s absolutely nothing planned for today other than relaxing on the Valor Lake Front. Not that you aren’t able to go out and do fun stuff if sitting still isn’t really your thing. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area if you so choose. Sinnoh’s Great Marsh lies to the southwest or you could journey half an hour north and explore the City of Veilstone.

Day 6:

Well your vacation is pretty much over. All that’s left is to return to Mossdeep, hop aboard your fancy rocket, and go home. I hope you’re not tired of boat rides because if so, you’re in for a bitter disappointment. Although you should have known when you signed up for an island getaway that there would inevitably be a plethora of boats. Anyways, your cruise ship tickets were only one way, so you’ll have to sail to Lilycove on a regular passenger vessel. Your ship leaves at 7:30 AM from gate 2D. You’ll arrive at Lilycove a little after 3:00 PM. You can stick around for as long as you want, but when you’re ready, you can then take the ferry back to Mossdeep whenever you please. Your rocket will be ready for takeoff by the time you arrive. Oh, and about that rocket: if a budget of $3,000 was of concern, then why do you have a rocket? I guess now we know why Nintendo’s broke.

Day 1:
• Mossdeep Spending Money: $50
• Ferry Tickets (Two Way): $15
• Lilycove Inn (Three Nights): $240
Day 2:
• Beach Money: $200
• Safari Zone: $60
• Museum: $30
Day 3:
• Ferry Tickets (Two Way): $15
• Convension Admission: $130
• Convention Spending Money: $400

• Sunnyshore Spending Money: $100

• Hotel Grand Lake (Two Nights): $330
Day 5:
• Resort and Spa: $170
• Food: $50
Day 6:
• Ocean Liner to Lilycove (One Way): $160
• Food: $50
Total: $2,750. The rest is additional spending money, but if I were you, I'd put it back into your failing company.

Holiday in Johto !

Yes. Pokemon is the only game I know enough things to make a holiday plan about it :]

Your vacation will start after you'll land at Goldenrod City's Global Terminal.

Day 1: Goldenrod City's attractions

As you'll arrive you will get a pair of bags which in the Pokemon world can contain a lot of things regardless their size.
The bags will cost 4$ for each of you. but you do get to keep it. You will then meet your hotel room which is located inside the local Pokemon Center. It has free service for Pokemon trainers only so you will visit first the day care in order to get a free Pokemon egg and visit Bill's house to get a free Eevee. Do that so you both will be allowed to go through the region as the Oak's law forbids going alone without a Pokemon ( don't mess with him). Until the egg will hatch, you can still go with only one Pokemon. Don't worry about meeting trainer's eyes as the locals do not battle with tourists.
Later on, you will be able to visit for the first time the Pokemon Game Corner which gives you cool prizes in lots of fun mini-games.
The price to get a ticket is 15$. But it worth it, especially after the manager had changed the gambling policy after receiving complains from angry costumers and worried parents.
From there, you will have the option to end the day or keep exploring the city including the Flower shop (0.5$ per flower). the Radio tower (4$ to enter for each of you) and the famous Name Rater which can give you a rating of your Pokebeach nicknames for just 0.5$ for each of you.
The Pokemon Center is your hotel and as such, provides breakfast and dinner for free.

Day 2: National Park

In the morning, you will be able to go for shopping at the Goldenrod Department store. You will be able to buy lovely dolls, drinks food etc. Just don't go over 800$. You may also buy Repels if you would be interested in getting into the tall grass but it is not necessary. If you do, then each Repel costs 2$.
Until noon, you will have time to visit the Bike shop and to get a free Bicycle for a limited time of 1 day so you can help the seller advertising his shop ( just get a better location man :\ ).
With the Bikes you will then visit the national park. To enter the Park, each one of you will pay 40$.
At the park you can sit, relax and take pictures of Pokemon like Scyther and Sunkern. Remember to keep a distance and not to go inside the tall grass without repels.
During the stroll, you will be able to have a lovely picnic lunch with Pokefan William and Beverly, that will cost 5$.
There will be a weekly contest so you will be able to participate for free and perhaps win a beautiful Sun stone !
After that, you will ride a short and nice road to Ecruteak City. You will then arrive at the local Pokemon Center for resting. The service man of the Pokemon Center will return your Bicycles to the Bike shop.

Day 3: Ecruteak's tour

After you'll finish breakfast you will visit the Burned Tower where the local gym leader will join you as your guide. He will take you to the tower while giving you interesting information about the history of the place. No worries about wild Pokemon as he will also serve you as a personal guard and you will be able to enjoy watching him battling. You will also have the option to battle with him if you would like as he has enough restoring items for your Pokemon. Morty will take you all the way to the Bell Tower through the Bellchime Trail and you will be able to talk to the local sages which will tell you more about the history of the ancient place. The whole thing will cost each of you 125$. At the end of the tour, Morty will give you a Fog badge pin as a souvenir.
Later at the evening you will visit the famous Kimono dance theater where you will also have a fancy dinner. All for the cost of 60$ for each one of you. After that, you can still walk around the town, sit by the local fountain and enjoy the local friendly people before going back to the Pokemon Center for sleep.

Day 4: Flight over the region and a visit at the Ice Path.

The tour organizers had arranged an exclusive flight for you ! After finishing your breakfast, Falkner, the Violet city's gym leader, will meet you at the fountain and will be your guide for a wonderful tour in the sky. You'll each get a Pidgeot which will take you up in the air where you'll fly all over the region as you will view from above all kind of interesting places such as the dangerous lake of rage.
You'll land just near the Ice Path. The flight will cost 250$ for each of you and at the end, Falkner will give you the Zephyr Badge pin as a souvenir.
At the Ice Patch, you'll meet Ace trainer Allen from route 44 with his Charmeleon. Allen will be your guide and guard as you'll enter the Ice Path. Charmeleon's fire attacks will protect you from Ice type Pokemon if they'll choose to attack but otherwise, he will remain inside its Pokeball so the Ice-type Pokemon would feel comfortable and you'll be able to see them. During the tour Allen will make you lunch while Charmeleon will help in keeping you and the food warm. The Ice Path tour costs 40$ for each one of you. At the end, Allen will give you a Never-melted-ice as a souvenir. After all that, you will stay at the Mahogany's Pokemon Center for the night.

Day 5: Cianwood's Beach

Psychic Phil from route 44 will wait for you after your breakfast. He'll use his Kadabra to teleport both of you to Cianwood city. This will cost 5$ for each of you. This day will be your opportunity to relax at the local beautiful beach.
The local store offers low price repels. Each one for only 0.5$ so you'll be able to swim around as much as you would like.
Cameron, the photographer, will join you to take pictures together at the beach and he'll teach you how to work with his professional camera as you'll take nice photos of Pokemon from the sea. Cameron will also host you at his house which there, you'll have lunch. All at the cost of 40$. After that, you will rest at the local Pokemon Center for the next day.

Day 6: Indigo Plateau

Psychic Phil will come once again to take you both. This time, with the same price of 5$ for each of you, he'll teleport you to Indigo Plateau, where you'll visit for the regional championship !
This day, you'll get to visit the Elite four before they accept a trainer's challenge named Gold. You will get to visit each stage, talk to the league organizers and of course, meet with the Dragon-type champion-Lance. You will stay at the Indigo Pokemon Center and the whole tour will cost 300$ for each of you. Lunch can be bought from the PokeCenter's store for 20$.

Day 7: Watching the Regional Championship.

After your breakfast you will buy 2 tickets to the regional championship which will cost 100$ for each of you. You'll watch the battles and discover how Gold will do.

GM Draclord
Dear Celever and bbninjas,

I have written here in response to your request for a vacation suggestion. First of all let me show my gratitude of allowing me to give my own suggestion for this meaningful part of your life by thanking you personally. Do expect a gift bag at your door steps soon.

For the location, I propose that the two of you when to the gorgeous land of Kanto. I understand that you would be travelling to and from here by your own private rocket so we picked a location just a little south of Cerulean City. They newly built a large square there and it’s perfect for rocket landing. We would want to know if the rocket will be park there or it going to pick you guys later. The parking fee for a week would be $700. It looks pricey but it’s a rocket after all. If you decided not to park there, that money could be used for our final shopping at the lovely flower city of Celadon.

Day 1 - Upon arriving, you would be welcome by our pre-booked taxi driver, for only $350 he would be your driver for the week. (He is one of my dear friends and agreed to give us the special discount.) He would then sent you to Saffron City, don’t worry the traffic is so clear you would reach there in 2 hours only. We know you guys a tired on the first day, so for $200 (Included Lunch and Dinner) you guys would be staying in a room at the Saffron Spice Hotel (newly built near the train station). Before going to bed we recommend that you guys go to watch the Premier of the movie “The Love between 2 Cities”. With $50, you will get 2 tickets and 2 sets of popcorn and drinks.

Day 2 - They next day our driver would pick up you guys and heads over to Vermillion City. The travel time is just 2 hours. From here you would take the SeagallopFerries for $25 per person to the Sevii Island. Don’t worry if you got sea sick, the Ferry Company will be providing you guys with pills to prevent such event from happening. The ferry will drop you guys at Chrono Island where you will be staying at Resort Gorgeous for the next 3 days for as low as $100 per night (included 3 meals per day, meals will be packaged if you decided to travel for the whole day) for a 2 bed room. There is a free 24/7 shuttle “sampan” to travel around the Chrono Island as we understand you guys don’t any Pokémon to Surf with. From there, they would be a travel agent, meet her to arrange a trip to the Water Labyrinth, where you will be riding on various water Pokémon to explore the rock formation there. It’s such a spectacular view and cost only $50 per person. To make a night fun, you guys would be exploring the Lost Cave which is best to visit at sundown when all the Zubat have left it for food. There you would be able to see the painting on the walls just at the entrance, don’t worry admission is free. We however strongly object you guys from entering any further without a team of well trained Pokémon. The Graveler isn’t too fond of visitors. Do remember to return to the Resort to sleep.

Day 3 – In the morning you will be taking an Inter Sevii Ferry for $10 per person per trip to Quest Island. There for $100 per person, you will be taken to visit the famous Tanoby Ruins where you will be shown the history of Pokémon Language formed by the Unowns. It will be educational that I promised. Later take the Inter Sevii Ferry Knot Island where you will be on a treasure hunt and Treasure Beach, anything you found is yours to keep, Good Luck. Please bring me a souvenir from there I do missed that place. You can relax at the beach instead if that is what you want. For the night take a short trip with Inter Sevii Ferry to Boon Island for a Special concert by Rocker Ben and Luca for an admission price of $20 per person. I do remind that you head back to your resort that night.

@PhantomHaze must PM Celever and I saying that he is still part of the competition, otherwise he will be mkd due to inactivity. However, the pressure will be on PhantomHaze during the next Challenge if he does PM us...

Keeper will also get an advantage in the next Challenge which he will learn of later :>

From this point onward, the Challenge is going to become much more fast-paced. This means you probably want to check up on your activity as well as check this thread every day so you don't miss important stuff.

@Everyone has until Saturday the 11th at 11:59 BST to send us your vote.

I'd like to thank Cypher for the idea, and apologize for my poor presentation of it.
Though I still relish in knowing that I probably would have won either way, as my other ideas were either for Pikmin or Spectrobes, and I was never going to present Pokemon. :p

I would have gladly done something non Pokemon related, but I realized Pokemon is the only Nintendo franchise I've really even played. Other than Mario, but I felt that would have been overdone as well.

If I wasn't holidaying I had planned to write mine about Animal Crossing :p
"Be the mayor for a month!"

As if you wouldn't come!

Those who are up for elimination are allowed to vote in the elimination.

Deadline to submit votes is Saturday the 11th at 11:59 PM BST. Because bb and I need to type up the next challenge post tomorrow too :p.

Nobody did Fire Emblem, 0/10.

I seriously laughed when I saw all the Pokémon entries.

Which is exactly why I wouldn't have done a Pokémon challenge; it's much too obvious. :p

It was a Nintendo Challenge not a Pokemon Challenge ;)

True, but because this is a Pokemon fan site, more people would be familiar with Pokemon and thus gravitate towards that choice. Again I for one wasn't knowledgeable about any of the other franchises. I had to choose between not standing out by doing a Pokemon theme but doing it really well (in my opinion), or do a half-assed F-Zero theme because I haven't played the game in like 10 years. My only regret was not thinking of making you guys watch a Mantine mating ritual sooner. (They fly out of the water and flap their wings like birds; it's quite fascinating actually!) Insert a 'too much water' joke here.

Yeah. And on top of that, you gave us this option so lowering points just for picking Pokemon seems weird to me.

You're welcome. ;)
I wonder what's coming up next?
