Here we get started with a basic GWF team starter.
A revenge killer, Hitmonlee, was added for KOing things left out in the dust.
Manectric is added to take on some of the more popular pokemon, Milotic and Feraligatr.
Finally, a good, sturdy lead rounds out the team by giving it a physical bulky Pokemon.
A CLOSER LOOK
SCREWDRIVER (Rhyperior) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Rest
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
Rhyperior is a very bulky lead, and this one is very unique as well. He can set up rocks and EQ or Rock Blast away at enemies, and when his health gets low, just Rest and the opponent will have to do the entire process all over again. Of course, they could always get around it with a special sweeper. Overall, not much can hurt him physically. The special attacks are not good though, so once they send out some special sweeper you go to Slowbro!
SLOWPRO (Slowbro) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regeneration
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Boil Over
- Psychic
- Slack Off
Slowbro here is the Special Wall. He can absorb hits all day once he has a few Calm Minds up. Boil Over is for the burn chance on Physical Sweepers, and Slack Off is to heal. Psychic is obviously for STAB, and a possible Special Defence drop. If they switch to a Dark Type to counter this, then Hitmonlee can take care of it. A water type is what Manectric is for. And if a Grass is encountered, go with Hihidaruma.
POTATO HEAD (Hitmonlee) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Limber
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
Hitmonlee is a revenge killer. It'll scare anything with below average defences, and if they stay in, they suffer the consequences. Mach and Sucker Punch are for priority against faster foes, while CC and Stone Edge murder anything slower than it.
SHOCKHOUND (Manectric) (M) @ Balloon
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Change
Manectric handles water types quite well, and if it switches to anything that resists it, Overheat or HP Ice can probably take care of it. If anything is too out of control, just Volt Change out to someone to handle the situation best.
TINYTRAN (Hihidaruma) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Encourage
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Earthquake
Hihidaruma is a Scarf game-finisher. He can usually sweep weakened teams, and if something fails to OHKO, 2HKO will nearly always happen. He is very flexible with his moveset, and can take several enemies with one move.

GREENLEAF (Venusaur) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 204 SDef
Hardy Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Toxic
- Energy Ball
So, Venusaur is a final wall to break. Protect, when used at the right time, can be devastating. I haven't seen anyone out there with Protect on a Venusaur before, so it does throw people off. Leech Seed is great, and coupled with Toxic, you can get a KO on a pokemon rather quickly.
