Team Black
OverviewTeam Black's goal is to provide a better card gaming experience and enhance your skills dealing with competitive play. Our first goal is to outperform Team White! Our second goal is to provide team members with a better set of skills that can be applied in a competitive setting.
Our focuses
1. Encourage intelligent discussion. -- The biggest factor of success is being able to communicate as a team and bounce ideas off of each other. We will have weekly discussions where all members are encouraged to give a thought-out response. These will be controversial issues where both sides of the argument will surely be represented. The team should be able to communicate about the topic with a level of professionalism and respect. This type of discussion is very valuable when helping others prepare for competitive play.
2. Deck building skills. -- Deckbuilding is a very key aspect to doing well in the competitive scene. Not only will our players have fantastically amazing decks, but they will also learn and teach successful deckbuilding strategies. Our team members are all unique individuals with different taste in deck lists. With the combined efforts of many people, we will succeed in creating the best decks possible to prepare for tournaments.
3. Metagame discussion. -- Knowing the metagame and adapting to that metagame is a very key skill of any competitive player. Team Black emphasizes that knowing about the metagame is a fantastic way to get into top cut and possibly win a competitive event.
Other Information
We also have our own set of private sub-forums, and custom user titles. Only members of Team Black may view or use these forums, even though they are located right on PokéBeach.com's Forums! We use these forums for all of our discussions.
Note that as a member of Team Black, you are expected to follow of PokéBeach's rules, try to make everybody feel welcome, not flame new players, etc. Also note that we reserve the right to remove you from the team without notice. If it becomes necessary for some reason, we may have to move you to Team Black. However, this is an unlikely scenario, and you will be notified before this happens, if it happens.
