Help Teaching Kids to Shuffle

give it time and practice. she'll get it. both my kids did.

one way to also practice is just to use a plain deck of cards (at least its cheap and she doesn't have to worry about bending the cards).
at lot of it is just getting use to the actually "shuffling" of the cards and fitting them together. she'll also get use to the hand movements so that it becomes more muscle memory.... just like learning the game itself, give shuffling some time and maybe 100+ shuffles.

I've told every opponent I've ever played what I do for a living before we start our match, a Casino Dealer here in Las Vegas....

No one has ever questioned my shuffles!!!!! Hahaha

If you guys want to learn how to properly riffle shuffle WITHOUT bending cards and splitting sleeves, google a "Dovetail Shuffle" this technique will let u shuffle safely without "mashing" your cards (this is how you bust sleeves)

It is also key to break the deck just as often as you shuffle it. This includes Stripping the deck (taking 5-7 cards off the top into a single pile until the deck is on the table instead of in your hands) and Boxing the deck (taking the bottom half of the deck and putting it on top)

The quickest way to shuffle effectively is as follows....shuffle, box, strip, shuffle, box, shuffle....6 steps to glory! (Do this twice to make sure your opponent doesnt get crybaby on you when you end up running through 'em haha)
