Ruling TCG Energy Help.

Hey guys, first I'd like to say thanks to anyone who takes there time to answer my question and give help.

Now, I used to play the TCG when the first sets were released and stopped around Jungle/Fossil time, so it wasn't a long stint by any means. But for some unknown reason I've had the urge to play again and was reading on what popular decks there are around at the moment, when doing that I came across something I didn't recognise, so here I am.

I understand the concept of using energy to use attacks (Otherwise my early TCG career wouldn't have started at all ¬_¬) But what I don't understand is what energy or if there's any specific condition in order to use Kingdra's Aqua Stream attack.

It also occurs on other cards I know that, but with Kingdra seemingly being the most popular user of such energy/conditions I've found at the moment I saw it best to use that.

That, my friend, is a free attack. There is really no symbol there, meaning it doesn't require any Energy to use. So, technically, Kingdra could use its Aqua Stream attack even if it had no Energy attached!
