Collecting Surging sparks, an investment?

I have a handful of surging sparks and I am on the hunt for more. I see resell prices are already up quite a bit from the store price. Would you hold as an investment opportunity or just RIPPP? The hype is crazy.

But on a serious note, are people actually buying at those higher resell prices? When the hype dies, the price will drop. And when Surging Sparks becomes vintage in 20 yrs, the price might go back up.

Personally, I don't like to treat Pokémon cards as investment because it is pure speculation. Even if you do sell at higher prices, you will lose possession of the cards, be left with depreciating cash, have to buy more Jigglypuff cards, and have to repeat the same cycle over and over.
It's too tedious for me.
If you have a goose that lays golden eggs, would you sell the goose?

I agree, I sell cards if they have a high value and I’m not too attached to them. I do that just to fund more packs or sealed products to hopefully get what I do want. Thanks for your thoughts 🙏
