Super Mario Galaxy

I'd say it's much better than sunshine, but it's fairly difficult to compare it to the original 64 version.
This version ovbviously exceeds it in graphics, gameplay elements (the amazing physics system), and plot line, but the original was just so epic. There's also still stuff I've gotta do once I've beaten the game, so the replay value is awesome. I'd say Galaxy is definitely as good, if not, better than 64.

got the game its great awesome gameplay, cool abilites but what i love the most is the scenery it blows your MIND! Some of the elements come right out of sunshine in some but very small ways. And yes it beats sunshine by alot. And its better than super mario 64 DS by a long shot. But the original 64 vs. wii wii has the title but barely.

Wow, just wow. I got it today, and I'm amazed.

Sunshine was awesome, but this one's really awesome too (out-of-this-world awesome graphics, great music, great gameplay, and a surprisingly nice storyline).

The ONLY thing I don't like about it, is Mario's new VA. Blargh, his one for Sunshine was MUCH, much better. Now, he sounds like Eggman from the Sonic games (only in a couple of spots, though, don't worry ;p).

I was just wondering, is all of this game set on front of a planet? Look at the background. It shows a big planet then more space and the sun is covered by half of the planet.

No, just the first area thing is (trying not to give spoilers). After that, every galaxy has it's own, unique, superbly awesome background. Oh, and every galaxy has a different awesome music too! No reccurring music (i.e. Jolly Roger Bay and Dire Dire Docks on Super Mario 64 DS)!

Don't wait any longer to get the game because it is flying of store shelves like hot Potatoes. It is very hard to get the game right now because it is selling very fast and so is the Wii.:)

Correction: Only two or three galaxies have the same music as ones before. Don't worry though, as the ones that have the same music have some of the best music in the game. ;D

oh man don't do this to me i don't have a wii and i have been bugging my parents like carzy to get me one and i want one and now there's lots of games i want and i don't even have a wii , but hopefully for christmas i will get a wii or at least a new system

I just got it yesterday and played it for 7 hours straight

SO ADDICTING

I played it today for 8 hours and 30 minutes straight and beat it

I beat the story mode on the game just last night, and I must say, Super Mario 64 (not DS) is not even comparable to Galaxy. Galaxy is so much better in so many things.

It also almost completely and totally beats Sunshine, but I must say that Sunshine had a few plot twists, whereas Galaxy didn't really have any. ;/

Other than that, Galaxy beats both of them in every way.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Well, I think its kinda a wee bit.. well dull. I'm talking about the storyline. After you save luigi all you do is collect stars. I just wish that they could have spiced it up in the storyline part, but of course it is still the best wii(mabye any console?)game yet but well you know... would you agree?
