Spread, in the Pokemon TCG definition, is when you attack multiple pokemon to spread out damage to ensure multiple KOs in a few turns. It is different from Sniping, because Sniping involved hitting one Pokemon for Heavy damage in one turn to ensure a KO. Spread had died mostly with the arrival of Garchomp C Lv X healing up SP Pokemon, and Nidoqueen healing everything else.
However, the arrival of Triumphant brought something to help stop both of those threats.
Together these two Pokemon prevent your opponent from healing damage off their Pokemon in anyway, apart from a few choice cards (PokeTurn, Super Scoop Up, Espeon UD (not prime)). This makes spread much easier, as they can't remove the damage you took time piling onto their Pokemon. Lunatone SV seals the deal, by protecting both Solrock and Lunatone from Lv X Pokemon, saving them from nasty Garchomp C Lv X Snipes.
So now that Spreaders can spread and spread without fear of damage being healed off, lets look at some of our premier Spreaders.
Abomasnow is the first of the spreaders I like to mention, mainly for that fact that it's attack is {C}{C}, so it can easily be fit into any deck. 20 Damage to all opponent's non {G} or {W} Pokemon is nice, especially since those Pokemon aren't seen that often in the current meta (outside of Vileplume, bah humbug). It's body also rock, as it protects your non Solrock/Lunatone Pokemon (i.e. Uxie/Azelf) from 80 BP Chomp Snipes, reducing them to 60.
The king of all spreaders. 30 to all the opponent's side is amazing, and Lost Zoning anything you kill adds insult to injury. Not to mention it has a Great Poke Body, and there are a few good Giratina to choose from as well. Sure the expensive {P}{P}{C}{C} cost might throw you off, but for an attack that powerful, that price seems worth it, not to mention that it can be charged in 3 turns with a DCE. (Faster if you get lucky with Jirachi UL and Gardevoir Pt, but those are too many cards to get a turn 2 Giratina).
(Note: This paragraph assumes 3-1 Giratina line.) Giratina you will use will most likely be either Let Loose Giratina, Broken-Space Blow Giratina, Over Slash Giratina, or Shadow Force Giratina. Let Loose you will only likely want to run 1 of, mostly for disruption. Over Slash and Strafe are the two that I would use for attacking mostly, since Over Slash can start early spreading for 10 to all for a {C}{C}, while Broken-Space Blow is an alternative to use to make it easier to send their active to the Lost Zone if it is particularly troubling.
