SP energy, so useless, but?

With energy exchanger released i just thought of starting a discussion about if sp energy would be worth playing in some sp decks. Before the thing that made sp energy really bad was that it wasn't searchable and had no real effect so it wasn't worth playing since you could play multi energy if you had the need of having different energy types and had other pokemon that sp. But now...

Energy exchanger makes sp energy searchable and with cyrus's conspiracy you get to fetch a basic energy that you can use with energy exchanger to get the necessary energy. I know, "if you can search for a energy with cyrus's why not take the right one?" Well some decks might have allot of different kind of pokemon (like many sp decks do) but don't have the energy recurred to use them for their attack. Like lucario gl, i don't know a single luxchomp that plays metal energy. But wouldn't it be nice to hit on weaknesses of other pokemon than the once with lightning/colorless weakness.

So since many sp decks will play energy exchanger for it's ability to get DCE easily, you might as well put in 2 sp energy so you can use the crobat g or lucario gl to attack if needed without the risk of deck space for a metal energy or psychic since you can use the sp energy on your main attacker too. (if you play sp decks)

That was a little longer than i was planing but i think i made my point clear?

sp energy

Its allright, but the thing is, if Tryranitar is huge in my area, Ill just play a metal energy for lucario. If donphan's rampant, Ill play a psychic for crobat. Plus, Sp energy is now "searchable", but energy exchanger isn't. And neither is that first Cyrus.

well to be honest all there is for energy search cards is IQ*, energy search and energy exchanger, now to me both energy search and energy exchanger look like the same thing to me other then the draw back of energy search, i'd rather just stick with IQ as it can give me the chance of grabing more energy into my hand, a chance to grab 8 energy cards over one sounds more sustainable then a 1-8 in 60 chance, +4 because of energy exchanger, of drawing those 4 sp energy, instead put in that many, you now have a 48th in 60 chance of drawing those sp energy, sure it may not be as precise but it does offer a wider search radius and has many positive's when you actually get what you want from IQ*. cya

*interviewer's question's, side note: this is to that I am degrading there intellect.

There are two main problems with IQ. 1: It uses your supporter for the turn which means you can't play a Cyrus that turn. 2: You might not get the energy you want.

Technicly, its rainbow energy for SP Pokémon. I don't own this card, but after seeing the card scan and reading it, I would reccomend it if you atleast have x3 or x4 Energy Exchanger.

Interviewer's questions would like stated above, hinder you from playing that cyrus's conspiracy you needed to get the poke turn, energy gain, power spray or sp radar you would have needed. And it might not even be 100% that you will get a energy.
And with the draw power most sp decks have it's not unlikely that they will draw into a energy exchanger if they have 4 in their deck.

I know it's not needed in every deck since you might not need your other sp pokemon to attack. But i think it's more playable than before. Don't you? (everyone)

most sp decks play a huge amount of more necessary special energies (calls, DCEs, warps) that there's simply no room for SP energies if you still want to maximize the efficiency of your cyruses (meaning being able to get an energy with them). i personally have not yet seen a good use for energy exchange. it seems like a novel idea on paper, but it ends up just clogging up space that could be used for more important cards, especially in lists as cramped as sp.

I like energy exchanger. It's not crucial, but if you have the space for it, it's great.
