Right now, I am trying to get a smeargle ready for VCG and I don't know what kind of moves to teach it since there are a lot of moves. Right now in the daycare, there is a ditto and a smeargle holding a power anklet.

Spiky Shield is basically Protect except if the foe tries to do a contact move that take a small bit of damage. Dark Void has an 85% chance to put a target to sleep and since two Pokemon will be out, there is a high chance at least one will be put to sleep. Follow Me draws attacks away from its partner giving the partner Pokemon a chance to set up. Transform is to change into another Pokemon on the field. Focus Sash is the item of choice because of how fragile Smeargle is.
