Can Slowking Prime be the poor mans Uxie Lv X?
Which one is better?
Pros vs. Cons?
Your thoughts?

LMK what you thinK!!!

It's no competition. Uxie X destroys Great Slowking. I would NEVER recommend Great Slowking in a deck.

1. Uxie basic lets you draw lotsa cards and then lv up to X. Great Slowking only has its power. +1 Uxie
2. Great Slowking makes your opponent choose, Uxie X lets you choose +1 Uxie
3. Great Slowking requires an extra psy to do the same amount of damage as uxie's attack +.5 Uxie (its not that major)
4. Great Slowking has more HP than Uxie +.5 Slowking (its not that major)
5. Great Slowking has a bigger retreat cost than Uxie +1 Uxie
6. Uxie lets you draw as a basic pokemon... Slowbro cannot +1 Uxie

Kinda see where I'm going with this? Great Slowking will never be good. Unless we see an eratta that lets you choose which card you get, it cannot see play. Even if we do, Uxie will still be better.

You'd be better off playing Dodrio SV (which I do NOT recommend). And yes, you need Uxie as active to LUP it.

Ok..
1. I agree
2. I agree
3. Slowking can use its attack every turn and Uxie can only use its attack every other. However, since it costs 1 more energy neither get a +.
4. I agree
5. I agree
6. I agree (though it is the same as number 1)
7. You missed this point - Uxie has to be active to play Uxie Lv. X, Slowpoke doesn't need to be active to evolved into Slowking Prime. +1 Slowking
8. Uxie Lv. X can't counter Mewtwo and can only attack Machamp once. Slowking Prime can counter both Machamp and Mewtwo.

Although Slowking could be comboed with underground expedition (as can Uxie) to get back the cards you were forced to put under. Also, Slowking can act as both a Machamp and Mewtwo counter without fear of take-out or Mewtwo's Pokebody while still getting you cards. Another thing, honestly in my Luxchomp deck I think I get to use Uxie Lv. X's draw power 2-3 times a game before it ends. So, imho it can be a poor man's Uxie and may serve as a replacement to uxie next format (provided we get no draw power out of B&W which is highly unlikely considering there is next to none in Clash or Lost Link).

I think is case is pretty much closed. Also, remember the fact that you can squeeze in Uxie LV.X in nearly every deck, because running Uxie LA in your deck is a must these days. Not only that, but Zen Blade pairs well with DCE, so you can do massive damage to 120 damage to Mewtwo LV.X...well, if you've locked the Body, that is. You do 100 damage to Machamp, and 120 with Lucario GL.

90 dmg to machamp without Lucario btw, not 100

A (minor) plus to Slowking is that the UD Slowbro has an okay attack in case it starts. With Rambunctious Party you could potentially get something on your bench set up. However, it is a very minor plus, since it is basically a Poke Radar attack. Uxie def, all the way, you might be better off using the Slowking HGSS and/or Poke Handy 910whateveritscalled.
