Question Shiny Kyogre Locked?

I am curious does know anyone if kyogre is shiny locked in Emerald. (I would like to add it beside my originally caught kyogre I have kept since original sapphire game).

What I read online says it is shiny locked in ORAS but that you can trade it up,from older games which I can do from older systems and.

Just don't want to spend 20+ hours going through Emerald to find it is shiny locked.

It is not shiny locked. I don't believe shiny locking became a thing until 5th Generation, though it could have been 4

Ok awesome. Coincidently last time I replayed Emerald I stopped in Marine Cave so all I need to do is reset until shiny appears.

Yeah; Shiny-locked Pokemon did not start until Black and White, or Gen V. (Victini, Reshiram and Zekrom were all shiny locked); and then Reshiram and Zekrom made a second appearance as shiny-locked in BW2.
