Semi-Competitive Teambuilding Help

Hello!
So the thing is, I don't really play the VG competitively at all, for numerous reasons. But recently I've been wanting to have a team "just in case" so I can play with some of the more competitive players in my area.

I have an idea of what I want, I just need to put a couple more pokemon in. I don't really like Smogon so I don't really want to hear it. However, I will abide by their pokemon bans just to avoid drama (But I like Mega-Gengar :/).

I wanna have a team for both singles/double battle. They will for the most part be the same though.

What I have so far is

Mawile
Nature: Adamant
Item: Mawilite
Ev trained in Attack/Hp
Moves:
Sucker Punch
Protect
Iron Head
Play Rough

Aegislash
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Stance Change
Item: Leftovers
Ev trained in Attack and Defense
Moves:
King's Shield
Substitute
Shadow Claw
Sacred Sword

These next two I only wanna use in Double Battles not in Single Battles (unless we can make it work, but I'm fine with a little variety)

Kingdra
Nature: Modest
Ability:Swift Swim
Item: ???
Ev trained in Speed and Sp. Atk
Moves:
Surf
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Protect

Politoad
Nature: Modest
Ability: Drizzle
Item: Rocky Helmet
Ev trained in HP with the rest spread out over Sp. Atk and Defense
Moves
Protect
Rain Dance
Ice Beam
Hydro Pump

I'm really looking for 2 more pokemon for double battles and 4 more for Single Battles. I'd really love any help I can get and any suggestions for what I have. I kinda wanna due something with Spikes/Stealth Rock. But I really just need some suggestions.

Thank you guys so much for the help!

RE: Need help building a Semi-competitive team

Moved to Competitive VG, as this isn't a complete team and therefore doesn't fit in the RMT forum.

RE: Need help building a Semi-competitive team

Actually, Mega Gengar is legal by VGC rules, just not in Smogon Singles
I recommend, Life Orb for Kingdra(or Choice Specs), and Damp Rock for Politoed. Also, I find that special Aegislash works a lot better.

Aegislash
@ Leftovers
Quiet Nature
252 S. ATK/252 HP/S. DEF
Ivs: 0 Spd
- Kings Shield
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Flash Cannon

Also, Spikes/SR aren't really a thing in VGC due to them not switching as much.
Hope I helped

Thank you so much for the help! I really like the items.I'll consider getting an Aegislash for S. Atk.

And I know M. Gengar isn't actually banned. But Smogon bans a lot, and I know people who will absolutely hate that I want to use Drizzle/Swift Swim. So there's that.

I'm thinking about running a Klefki with Switcheroo holding a Toxic Orb. I think that would be fun.

I don't see why they would care any more. Drizzleswim was unbanned because of the weather nerf. It's no longer OP, so there's really no reason for anyone to be mad about it. Speaking of which, some other good rain abusers you may want to try out are Kabutops, Ludicolo, and Manaphy. I don't think Manaphy would be as good in doubles, though. I can't really contribute much else because I'm not very experienced in doubles, but I could help you build a (rain?) team for singles.

RE: Need help building a Semi-competitive team

Awesome! Thank you for the advice!

I did a lot of thinking and here's an update on what I think I'm gonna do but I'd still love advice!

Mawile
Nature: Adamant
Item: Mawilite
Ev trained in Attack/Hp
Moves:
Sucker Punch
Protect
Iron Head
Play Rough

Aegislash
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Stance Change
Item: Leftovers
Ev trained in Attack and Defense
Moves:
King's Shield
Substitute
Shadow Claw
Sacred Sword

Kingdra
Nature: Modest
Ability:Swift Swim
Item: Choice Specs
Ev trained in Speed and Sp. Atk
Moves:
Surf
Hydro Pump
Draco Meteor

Politoad
Nature: Modest
Ability: Drizzle
Item: Damp Rock
Ev trained in HP with the rest spread out over Sp. Atk and Defense
Moves
Protect
Rain Dance
Ice Beam
Hydro Pump

Skarmory
Item: ???
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 Spe
Bold Nature
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Taunt

Wobbuffet
Item: Focus Sash
EVs: 28 HP / 228 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Encore
- Safeguard/Taunt

I plan on using Aeigslash, Mawile, Wobbuffet, Skarmory for single battles. Aeigslash, Mawile, Skarmory, Kingdra, and Politoad for double battles. So I just need 2 more for singles and 1 more for doubles. I'm considering giving Kingdra Draco Meteor and putting him on the single team. But I'd still like advice.

RE: Need help building a Semi-competitive team

Kingdra is missing a move. Also Skarmory's item should be leftovers and its EV spread should be max Hp and Max def. The Speed really isn't necessary unless there's something specific that I can't think of. That spread looks like standard Gliscor from last gen and not Skarmory. Stealth Rock should be used over Spikes unless you have something else running it. I generally find Toxic, Defog, Brave Bird, or Counter to be more useful than Taunt.
