Strategy:

My strategy is the same as any other Toad/Garbodor deck, to lock the opponent out of abilities and items. The thing I'm looking for advice on is the techs and item list. I have City Championships this weekend and have a lot of Donphan, VirGen and a Yveltal matchups to look forward to, which is why I have what I have. Charizard EX to deal with VirGen obviously and Manectric EX to handle Yveltal somewhat. I've play tested online enough and have had good enough success but would still like some input.

Hey! I also use this same deck and here are some of my suggestions that I find to work.

-2 Startling Megaphone: I find most of the time you will be locking them from playing items anyway, which is why I don't think you need these.
-1 Manectric EX: I find Dedenne to be better.
-4 Fire Energy: Wing attack is better because, with a Muscle Band, it hits Virizion and Genesect for 160 and if you add a hypnotoxic laser (assuming you have Garbodor out, then you are OHKO them. Also, Wing attack is faster to set up.
-2 Lightning Energy: Isn't needed with my suggestion to replace Manectric EX
-1 Ultra Ball
-1 Switch: Don't need much because you have Skyla in there to get them if you need it right away.

+1 N: Add consistency
+1 Sycamore: Add consistency
+1 Lysandre: Use to trap a Pokemon or to finish off a killing.
+1 Seismitoad EX: To increase chances of starting with him/her/it.
+6 Water Energy: Grenade Hammer can be good for finishing a game or killing a threat easy with: Grenade Hammer + Muscle Band + Laser Bank =180 Damage to OHKO most EXs.
+1 Dedenne: I think this is the better counter to Yveltal because it can use one energy to OHKO an Yveltal EX (Muscle Band and LaserBank help out with this. This is also helpful even if you start out with it. If i start with it I can use its first attack to get out a Seismitoad EX and Trubbish so I can get a Quaking Punch out next turn, and possibly Garbodor as well.

Hope you found these comments helpful! :)

Have you playtested the mirror match a lot too? In addition to the match-ups you listed, another match-up that can cause lots of irritation is the mirror if you are not prepared. I strongly encourage you to keep the Xerosic since an opponent, who's going first, may likely Head Ringer your starting Seismitoad EX... This can delay your initial Quaking Punch by 1 turn.

Also, consider replacing 1 Ultra Ball with a Pokémon Fan Club should you become Item-locked.

Should your sole Lysandre be prized, you may be at a great disadvantage; so, I'd suggest replacing 1 Switch with another Lysandre.

In order to help search and get needed Basic energy, I'd suggest you replace 1 Virbank City Gym with a Professor Letter.

Lastly, consider play-testing the W energy deck version. I currently run just R energy in my deck and will need to incorporate a few L energy for the Manectric EX I plan to add. I've yet to test the W energy version, but one of my Poké pals runs the W energy version and REALLY likes it.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

I run the W Energy version as well, I love it also. As I mentioned before: Grenade Hammer + Muscle Band + LaserBank = OHKO Big 180 HP or less EXs. It's nice to finish off a game.
