Ruling Searching multi energy?

Some Pokémon have attacks that allow you to search for (icon) energy, however can you search for multi energy this way?

No. Multi Energy does not provide Energy when in deck, discard pile or in your hand. They only provide energy when you attach it to a Pokemon...

Pertaining to your question, you cannot search for Multi Energy, for the same reason Psychic Pokemon Master stated. It doesnt provide any type of energy while in the deck.

However, if anything is ever made that lets you search your deck for an Energy card, not specifying basic energy or a type of energy, then you would be able to search for it. Or, as ApachePrime said, anything that lets you search your deck for any card, such as 2 PokeDrawer+'s played together, or Slowkings Trump Card Poke-Power.

Doesn't Buneary (MD) allow you to get it...? It states on its first attach that you may search for an Energy Cards, but dosent specify if it is basic or special.

Only when it says "Search your deck for an ENERGY CARD", one can search for Multi Energy. If the word BASIC appears with them, then no, one cannot seek out Multi Energy.
