I'm in the process of making a pack. This pack will contain all my favorite pokémon, and some trainers to support them. To treat you for a nice start, I present you my first set, the Gardevoir line.

Please comment on:

A - Looks
B - Any Blatant Mistakes
C - Competiveness - Is it not overpowered/too weak

Some others that will get showtime:
Scipio's Delcatty
Scipio's Kingdra
Scipio's Gengar
Scipio's Erlade
Rayquaza Ex
Mewtwo Ex
AND LOTS MORE.

I did not really see Calm Mind as broken because it still takes Gardy 2 turns to hit for 50. The 20 damage less doesn't really hurt much - compare to something like Kingdra Ex who gets 10 damage less from EACH hit whereas this Gardy dodges 20 once and 0 the second time.

And could you point out how the placement is bad? I tried mimicing the font but Fireworks kept messing up, even if I copied it straight from the tutorial...

The art is awesome, I love it.

See if you can get the proper fonts, it will make your cards look MUCH better. The fonts are way off as is, but still... better than some cards I've seen here. The wording needs work.

Overall, good job.

4 new cards. I think they look better now...

They're better or not? Also, please again tell me if anything seems overpowered/too weak.

your wording is kinda terrible, i suggest reading real cards for the wording, it's not hard to find a correct wording
the art is great, I love delcatty*
but, well, the placement is still off, i suggest reading one of the many faking tutorials, I'm not an expert on this area, but, well, I see that it's still not perfect (italic illus text is one thing)

also, your logo seems like a regular paint draw (which is probably is)

Yeah, the logo is indeed a paint drawing - it's just a concept, easily replaced.

And yes, I need to brush up on my wording. But that will come naturally if I play Pokémon more and more - after all, I only got back in the game 2 months ago. Besides, English is not my mother language.

As for the placement - I did read the manuals and I compare them with real cards and it does seem at least very close. Could you pick some of the cards and tell me exactly what's off, so I know where to start?

And as the final question - are they strong enough for the current metagame?

Since ur making cards.
I'd like to see:
Venusaur *
Blasty *
Meganium *
Typhlosion *
Gatr *
Sceptile *
Blaziken *
Swampert *

Well, this is a pack I'm making myself. And those cards were not really in my plans.

Besides, if I were to make those cards, I'd need good images for them first.

Here's some fixed-up wording, for all your cards:

Scipio's Ralts

Confusion is fine. "Defending Pokémon" is ALWAYS capitalized. Always.

Second attack: Switch Scipio's Ralts with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. If the Pokémon you chose has Scipio in its name, you may search your deck for Scipio's Kirlia, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Numbers are always written as numbers.

Scipio's Kirlia

First move: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon.

If you want Weakness and Resistance to be ignored by the damage to the Bench, add "(Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)" after that sentence, in italics. Anything in parentheses is always in italics.

Second move: Does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon with Scipio in its name.

Scipio's Gardevoir

Body: Whenever your Active Pokémon takes damage from an opponent's attack (even if your Active Pokémon is Knocked Out), and your Active Pokémon has Scipio in its name, put 1 damage counter on the Attacking Pokémon.

Damage counters are always PUT, not PLACED.

First attack: During your opponent's next turn, damage done to Scipio's Gardevoir by opponent's attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance), and Psyburst's base damage is 100 until the end of your next turn.

Scipio's Erlade

Power: Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put 1 damage counter on Scipio's Erlade. If you do, Psycho Cutter does 10 more damage to the Defending Pokémon.

First move: During your next turn, Scipio's Erlade's Psycho Cutter attack's base damage is 80.

Scipio's Skitty

I'm pretty sure the body is wrong... but I'm not sure how to make it right.

Scipio's Delcatty

Again, the first part is surely wrong but I don't know how to fix it. As for the second sentence, it should be: If heads, that Pokémon can't attack during your opponent's next turn.

Second attack: Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each damage counter on each player's Scipio's Skitty and Scipio's Delcatty.

Delcatty *

First move: The Defending Pokémon can't retreat.

Second move: PUT 2 damage counters... not PLACE. Otherwise, good.

Alright, thanks a LOT for that. I will fix them pretty soon, fixed versions should be up tomorrow (Including way better font). I wish I could give out Rep here.

I got some other cards done, notice the difference in fonts in the name. Every older card WILL get a revamp sooner or later.
Luke and Shadal make their entry here. Scipio, Luke and Shadal are the 3 who this set are about. Also included: A non-named Ex.

Wording fixes... as text fakes.

Luke's Zangoose - 60 HP - C

CC - Slash - 30

CCC - Swift - 40
This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, or any other effects on the Defending Pokémon.

WK: F / RS: None / RC: CC

********

Scipio's Seviper - 60 HP - G

Poké-Body: Shed Skin

WK: P / RS: None / RC: CC

CC - Dragon Fury - 30

RWLCC - Outrage - 180

Shadal's Mewtwo ex - 90 HP - P

Poké-Power: Burst Psychic

This power can't be used if Shadal's Mewtwo ex is affected by a Special Condition.

PPP - Psybeam - 40

PPPCC - Psy Abyss - 120
Discard a [P] Energy attached to Shadal's Mewtwo ex in order to use this attack. Put 1 damage counter on each of your Benched Pokémon.
