I wanted to create this thread to point out the incredible deck idea Just had. Anyone remember that Sawsbuck from the Black White base set? The one that did 20 and 10 more for every grass energy attached to all of the pokemon in play? Well, with the new Venusaur out, it can do 20 for all of your grass energy, and 10 for the opponents grass energy. We could be looking at the next Darkrai EX! Not only would that be a fantastic attack, but Sawsbuck only gives up a single prize! Good thing it only has 90 HP. Or 160 with a Bodybuilding Dumbell and a Training Center. Yup, we have a monster on our hands.

Or, you could use turbo darkrai and not bother with evolving, getting a stage 2 out of your deck, keeping training center in play, hoping your opponent is running grass energy, using the non existent grass type energy acceleration, and etc. Turbo darkrai is good because you don't need that much setup to win. It also has more energy acceleration in the form of max elixir, dark patch, darkrai GX, exp. share, and fighting fury belt. Those are the reasons why turbo dark is good and sawsbuck is not.

2 words on the latter part: Field Blower.

Secondary issue: you're relying on a Stage 1 for your attacks that needs multiple turns of set-up. Grass doesn't have the same type of amazing acceleration that Dark has in Expanded.

You're mostly relying on Max Elixer for it which can only be used on Basics. Assuming they all hit on your first turn, and that your following turn you have another hand attach in addition to your first turn one, and that you can reliably get out Venusaur, you are looking at a whopping 12 Energy which translates to 140 on Sawsbuck. Mostly all relevant GXes have around 200 health right now bar Marshadow.

All of that work for little to no benefit, honestly.

That being said, I appreciate the ingenuity.
