Salamence Promo in May’s ‘CoroCoro Ichiban!’ [2/20]

I've seen some bad Stage 2s but this card just tops the list.

If the first move is correct then that is just...bad. There's plenty of other good cards which have Call for Family or similar, and are Basic.

Why anyone would want to stack all that energy on it for the second move is beyond me.
 
The art is, ah, decent... I think I will just stick with the other Salamence to be featured in XY6...
 
This looks peculiar. 3 Basics is strong and reminds me of Dark Dragonite because of the name, but I don't really think it will be as good on a Stage 2, let alone one that attacks for the effect. Delta Evolution remedies this is a bit, but not enough.
 
Summon Minions? What the heck is up with the name of attacks these days. The other day with Ancient trait Fearow it was machine gun drill, when it would've still made sense to stick with drill peck.
 
I only think this is good if the evolution leading up to this has the same ability. Otherwise, meh. Could be half-decent if enough Dragon support is printed...
