No, it isn't a pre DP era card so it is affected by the trainer/supporter/stadium split and can only grab normal trainers, tools, and technical machines (unlimited).

The question is, can Sableye SW grab Holon Mentor with its first attack?

Since the first attack calls to take Trainers, you have to go with the definition of "Trainers" that was used when the card was printed. Since Sableye was printed in the DP-on era, its definition of Trainers is Trainers, Pokemon Tools, and Technical Machines. Holon Mentor is a Supporter, so Sableye can't grab it (because it says to grab Trainers).

If a card from any set before Diamond and Pearl calls to get a Trainer, then Holon Mentor could be taken because when those cards were released, the term "Trainers" encompassed all kinds of Trainers (including Supporters and Stadiums (which Sableye can't grab either)).

So, Sableye CAN NOT grab Holon Mentor or TV Reporter with its first move. Rare Candy would be your only option.
