I'm pretty sure they aren't illegal so long as you already own the game. (My info may be outdated or not true)

They are never legal btw. Where do you find the BS about "legal if you own the original copy"? Those all come from THE ACTUAL ROM SITES. You guys are really gullible. Doesn't it phase you that you're stealing the stuff? Every ROM that is downloaded means the developers sell 1 less copy. No one is above the law. Theft is theft.
