Pokemon ROM help

Can anyone help me? I'm playing a ROM of the English Pearl until I get a DS lite ( I have Diamond). When I open it on my Np$gba Emulator, I get an error message that says, " The data could not be read. Please turn off the power, then remove and reinsert the DS Game Card." I got this message when I tried the Japanese diamond and pearl also. I don't know what the problem is, as I've reset the thing a few times.

Does anyone know, what the problem is? any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is pretty consistant throught the D/P Pokemon ROMs on different emulators. Nintendo came up with a sneaky way to get you guys to buy the game.

So, it won't work. You simply have to deal with it. Also, talking about ROMs here is a no-no anyway.
