Porygon Z ROCKS!!!

Hello all Please forgive me for mistakes, as this is my first time posting here. I am planning on using this team on my Pokemon X and I have been testing it out on Pokemon Showdown. So far, things have been going OK, and I'd like to get some advice from the best. So without further adue, here is my team.

Greninja (Jiraiya) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Protean
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Spe/252 SpA/4 HP
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- U-Turn

Named after the famous Frog Ninja, this is my lead and fast special sweeper. It is mostly used as a Scout, and my team has many options to switch in depending on the opponent's lead. It is a typical set, and he wears down Dragonite with Dark Pulse instead of Ice Beam in case of Weakness Policy, and hits others hard.

Venusaur (Bruteroot) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll-->Thick Fat
Nature: Modest
EV's: 220 HP/160 SpD/96 SpA
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Sleep Powder
This is my counter to Spore Smeargle and tank. With Thick Fat, he can take alot of hits, especially with boosts from Baton Pass (see below). Giga Drain is for healing and STAB, Sludge Bomb is for Fairies, Leech Seed is for more healing and Sleep Powder is for putting them to sleep.

Garchomp (Preston) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Spe/252 Atk/4 HP
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Iron Head
This is my speedy Attacker and another optional switch in to Electrics. Dragon Claw over Outrage for STAB and prevention of switch to Fairies. Edge-Quake combo for STAB and second option for pesky Mega Zard Ys and Talonflames. Iron Head for Fairy coverage. Choice Scarf because I find that he is often out sped by Greninja.

Alakazam (Dumbledore) @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Magic Guard
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Focus Blast
252 Spe/252 SpA/4 HP
With Life Orb, the magician can hit equally as hard as its Mega, and it doesn't get damaged. Typical Set...Psyshock for STAB and dealing with Chansey, Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam for coverage.

My Defensive and Special Defensive combination have made some of my opponents surprised and mad. In fact, in one battle, I swept his team with this combo. Presenting the ultimate wall combo!

Vaporeon (Aquisia) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 SpD/252 HP/4 SpA
- Acid Armor
- Baton Pass
- Scald
- Ice Beam
This is my Special Defensive end and Baton Passer to my Ultimate Wall. Scald for STAB and burn chance, Ice Beam for coverage, Acid Armor until necessary and then Baton Pass into Venusaur or...

Chansey (Lady Wall) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD
- Aromatherapy
- Toxic
- Counter
- Softboiled
After 3 Acid Armors, Chansey gets 4.5x Defense, which calculates to 535.5 Defense in addition to its huge HP. As compared to Blissey, she gets 520 Defense, which is less than Chansey. Even with less Acid Armors, she can still do well. It's a typical set, except Counter hits hard when I tank those physical moves. Only Trick, Ghosts, Haze and Roar can take it down.

Thanks for any help I get, and aside from other tips, I will take in ideas for nicknames. Thanks again!

RE: RMT Competitive Team (OU)

You need to fill in the moves for Breloom.
Aside from that, the real problem I see is a lack of hazards and ways to remove them. Without hazards, Pokemon like Talonflame, Dragonite, Volcarona and Mega Charizard can cause big trouble for you, and your own inability to remove hazards can wear quickly wear down Greninja, break Breloom's Sash, and possibly cause a KO on your walls before they manage to set up (e.g., a OHKO or 2HKO on Vaporeon). Also, I wouldn't encourage defensive setup, but this is up to you and your style.

RE: RMT Competitive Team (OU)

I'd say remove Vaporeon. Chansey is annoying on its own. Replace it with something that can set up hazards. Deoxys-D can do well. Also, I suggest you remove Mega Alakazam. It isn't really worth it. I'd suggest Mega Pinsir in its place. The standard SD set is fearsome, and you could use a setup sweeper.

RE: RMT Competitive Team (OU)

Well, no one expects the Vaporeon to Baton Pass into Chansey to boost its really bad defense, and with Pinsir, I'll need someone to remove the rocks, and at the moment, I'm not weak to rocks.

EDIT: BUMP

RE: RMT Competitive Team (OU)

You're missing EV's for Alakazam. Is there any specific reason for your EV spread on Venusaur? I generally find a set of 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spd with a Bold nature effective because most Pokemon Venusaur will be used against are physical attackers. The Speed EV's are to outrun Adamant Azumarill and Mawile. Also I'd suggest replacing Leech Seed with Synthesis. The extra healing is worth it.

RE: RMT Competitive Team (OU)

The reason I use those EV's is because I can always Baton Pass the Defense into either Chansey or Venusaur, and with the boosts, he doesn't need the Defense. And If I use Modest, he'll hit harder than normal and will tank hits without having a Bold nature. If I use Speed EV's, where would you suggest I put them in? And plus, someone I talked to suggested the set and EV's for Venusaur. He's a Youtuber, so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing, not discouraging your advice.

RE: RMT Competitive Team (OU)

Surely there must be some specific reason for such a specific set of 220 HP/160 SpD/96 SpA instead of something like max HP max SpD/SpA. I pretty much never see something that invests that much in HP, but doesn't go all the way and max it out. Surely it can't have just been chosen arbitrarily? If you want to run Speed EV's, 16 is a good idea to outspeed Adamant Azumarill. Also you should replace Dazzling Gleam on Alakazam with HP Ice. The only thing it hits harder than a move you currently have is Mandibuzz, who will still wall you and OHKO you right back. HP Ice hits many Pokemon harder than moves you currently have such as Gliscor, Landorus, Hippowdon, Dragonite, and Garchomp. HP Fire is also a nice option for hitting Scizors on the switch because they will commonly be used against Alakazam. You may also want to consider using Focus Sash over LO. Alakazam is very frail and thus is often OHKO'd and Focus Sash will let you live another turn.
