Ruling Rescue Energy

I have the read the card before, but am a little confused. The card Rescue Energy says to discard all cards attached to the Pokemon. Does the Pokemon line count? For example, if I pick up a Gengar w/ Rescue Energy, does the Gastly and Haunter go back into my hand?

All Pokemon go back to your hand, but any other cards go to the Discard Pile.~Mark
