Ruling Removing Energies

Hello Everyone,

I have a few beginner's questions.

1. Since I'm allowed to attach one energy on my turn, can I instead transfer an energy card that is attached to a benched to my active? Or the other way around?

2. Can I remove an energy card that is attached to a pokemon and put it back into my hand?

3. Can I remove a tool that is attached to my pokemon and put it back into my hand or on another pokemon? For example, if I have a tool attached to one of my benched pokemon, can I remove it and attach it to my active?

4. When a pokemon's ability says you can do something "before you attack", does that mean that you are obligated to attack after using that ability? Or can you apply that ability and pass your turn? For example, Emboar's ability in the link below. If Emboar is on my bench, and I'm using him to power up my benched pokemon, and my active pokemon doesn't have enough energies to "attack", does that mean I can't use Emboar's ability?

5. When a pokemon is confused, does that pokemon remain confused for the entire game (assuming I don't want to retreat) ... Meaning, do I have to keep flipping on my turn to see if I get heads, before I can attack, again assuming I don't want to retreat and remove confusion.

Thanks!

1. Nope. Once you attach an Energy, that's where it will stay, unless you move it with an effect like Energy Switch or Aromatisse's Fairy Transfer Ability.

2. No.

3. Again no, unless done with an effect such as Tool Retriever.

4. You don't have to attack to use those Abilities. That just there to clarify that you can't use it after you attack, even though it's sort of redundant since the rules state that attacking is always the last thing you do for your turn anyway.

5. Yes. The only way to get rid of Confusion (or any Special Condition for that matter) is by retreating, evolving, or playing a card that heals Special Conditions.
