We are supposed to report revived threads, abuse, advertisements, spam, etc.

Making posts in the wrong forum is not against the rules, so are we supposed to report it?
 
You should report it anyway so a moderator can move the thread to the proper location.

Just don't post in the topic saying that it's in the wrong forum. That's mini-modding, and moderators hate that. If it's a question that needs answering, feel free to answer the question. Just don't bring up the thread's location in your post.
 
Ah, another point I would like to bring up.

I understand that the moderators disapprove of mini-modding, but is it against the rules?
 
No, it's not. Some people think they are being helpful, but really all it does is annoy the moderators. Let them do their jobs - everyone else's is to use that report button.
 
Well, he has not been de-Strated yet...So probably he's an exception of some kind.

Nah not really. But there are a few members which minimod constantly and get on my nerves, not sure about the other mods though.

If you see a thread in the wrong section of the forum just report it and a mod will move it when they log on.
