Profen's Team Finishing

I'm looking to go to a league based tournament of 3v3 singles matches and i need help picking my last one. The only bans are the legendaries aside from the Bird Trio i think. The team is a little all over the place atm since most of the pokemon are built for doubles and i dont really want to remove the option from them.

Anyway i'm looking for suggestions for a pokemon for my 6th slot.

Heracross @ ite
Adamant/Swarm->Skill Link
252 Hp 252 Atk 4 Def
-Close Combat
-Pin Missile
-Rock Blast
-Feint/Bullet Seed (Feint for protect shenanigans and priority that Mega Heracross can really use)

Charizard @ ite Y
Timid/Blaze-> Drought
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 Hp
-Heat Wave
-Solar Beam
-Air Slash
-Dragon Pulse

Greninja @ Expert Belt
Adamant/Protean
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 Hp
-Rock Slide
-Shadow Sneak
-Night Slash
-Waterfall

Magnezone @ Air Balloon/Red Card
Timid/Sturdy
252 Hp 252 SpA 4 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Flash Cannon
-Thunder Wave (Paralysis support for Togekiss)
-Metal Sound (Filler)

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Calm/Serene Grace
252 Hp 252 SpD 4 Spe
-Follow Me (Bad for singles but needed to keep for doubles as it cant be relearned)
-Air Slash
-Protect
-Wish

The team currently runs 2 different Mega options to allow a little more wiggle room since the teams will only be 3v3. I expect to run into Gengar and Mega Mawile on the same team. Along with Mega Gyarados and Crobat. That is really all i know about the competition i will be having.

I know my team can have issues with rock/electric types from what i've seen in battle Maison. So probably something with an advantage over those types would be helpful. I'm thinking maybe ground or grass type, though i could be wrong.

Anyone have any suggestions for my 6th? Thx in advance.

Remove or change one of your Pokemon that you want to mega evolve... or change their held item, either way you are wasting a held item or a team slot. Neither of which are good sacrifices for versatility/flexibility. Also if you would like to win this, I suggest either breeding and training another Togekiss with proper moves for single battles OR replacing it entirely.

Not sure if you want to run a sun team, partial sun team, or weather disrupter, but this is how I would work your team around your megavolver.

Charizard @ ite Y
Timid/Blaze-> Drought
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 Hp
-Flamethrower
-Solar Beam
-Air Slash
-Dragon Pulse

Greninja @ Expert Belt
Adamant/Protean
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 Hp
-Rock Slide
-U-Turn
-Night Slash
-Waterfall

Magnezone @ Red Card/Weakness Policy
Timid/Sturdy
252 Hp 252 SpA 4 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Flash Cannon
-Volt Switch
-Magnet Rise

Togekiss @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Calm/Serene Grace
252 Hp 252 SpD 4 Spe
-Thunderwave
-Air Slash
-Protect
-Wish

After this, I suggest you find a wall of some kind since most of your team is pretty fragile and SR and Stone Edge will tear you apart.

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge/Leftovers
Timid or Bold/Rain Dish or Clear Body
252 Hp, 252 Def, 4 Spe
-Rapid Spin
-Toxic
-Scald
-Reflect Type (DO NOT RUN WITH SLUDGE AND THIS MOVE)/Protect

Hippowdon @ Sitrus Berry/Quick Claw
Careful or Impish/Sand Stream
252 Hp, 56 Def, 200 SpD,
-Stealth Rock
-Slack Off
-Earthquake
-Stockpile/Whirlwind

You will want to open with Hippowdon and set up SR immediately or open with Tentracruel and play things by ear. As long as you keep your CharizardY away from your Hippowdon, you should be ok. Do NOT run Togekiss and Charizard in the same 3s match, Rock types will make you want to cry. Your Greninja will be your wildcard, changing types and constantly coming in and out of battle with U-turn. You can double this annoying little feature with Magnezone and Voltswitch. One big downside to this is that, other than CharizardY, you have no real sweeper but you will undoubtedly be tough to take down being this bulky and shifty.

I think i need shadow sneak on greninja for gengar. Atm its the only pokemon i have that OHKO gengar before it can do anything. Everything else on my team will get put to sleep and then destroyed. Hypnosis just seems way too accurate in this gen and Gengar is just too fast to deal with, especially with focus sash. Though maybe i could replace night slash. Since the coverage is very similar with shadow sneak anyway. Plus shadow sneak is such a good option when combined with its dark typing that it may cause some errors from my opponents forgetting that it can switch types and go for a fighting type attack.

I also dont know if tentacruel is a good idea. That would make my team have a total of 4 pokemon weak to electric

Also it doesnt look like hippowdon can learn stealth rock anymore without the move tutor. At least thats what serebii says.

Oh man, that really sucks for Hippowdon... I'm glad I didn't start training that! Sorry for the bad info.

Also, don't consider Greninja Water type. He kinda isn't.

If you really want to counter Gengar, you will need Sucker Punch somewhere on your team. Mega Mawile can deal the most damage with it while Absol, Toxicroak, Galvantula and Kangaskahn can also deal some serious damage with it (Well not really with Galvantula but it is an Electric type that isn't weak to ground, can lay down sticky web, electro web, and gastro acid. All of which will really ruin Gengar's day)

Another option is Bulletproof Quilladin or Chesnaut. I say Quilladin because he can abuse Evolite, Leech Seed, Dig, and Protect to be really annoy against anything that isn't grass or fire type. Also the bullet proofing make him immune to common Gengar moves like Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, etc. Also, grass resists electric type. So there's that.

I was actually thinking about Galvantula for Sticky Web. It would make it a lot easier for togekiss to be faster than everything without the absolute need for using thunder wave on everything. I don't always have a turn when i feel comfortable using it before i start attacking. Anyone happen to know how well galvantula does against Gyarados, and its mega form? I know magnezone does decently since its rather bulky physically and can be sturdy.

Something along the lines of OHKOing it if it goes mega? Or possibly 2HKO with a choice scarf/sticky webs to be able to outspeed after dragon dance on the mega.

Though i still find Magnezone important for dealing with fairys ingeneral, with its steel attacks.

Also i recently just finished training a Krookodile.
Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Jolly/Moxie
252 Atk 12 Hp 244 Spe
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Low Sweep
-Crunch

Though i feel like i should have gone with adamant instead. It doesnt hit as hard as i would have hoped, so i left it with Moxie, as it might be able to revenge kill and then possible sweep.

As for considering Greninja a water type. I feel like i have to consider it a water type regardless of having a water attack or otherwise. The point is that it wont be able to switch into anything that supereffects water. If its already in battle then sure it can be any of the 4 types it has. But if i have to switch it in, its basically just water/dark. Thus i have to consider the weakness to electricity, along side with 2 other pokemon.

It can be thought of like this. Magnezone has access to magnet rise, but you cant count on it being immune to ground attacks, since it has to both be switch in and then use magnet rise to get that immunity. So it wouldnt be good to use Magnezone along side 2 or 3 other pokemon heavily weak to ground attacks.

One thing to remember, Fairies are HEAVY special defense heavy. Sylveon, Gardevoir, Florges all have insane SpDef. You are far better off with Iron Head or Bullet Punch as fairy killing moves. It is also good to know that despite their heavy SpDef they are quite squishy when hit with a sludgebomb from a heavy SpAtk pokemon like Dragalge, Venusaur, or Gengar.

I don't think it's been touched upon, but your Mega Heracross really shouldn't have Feint.
Not only does it not get any coverage (which Bullet Seed does), base 30 power is not gonna hit anything for any noticable damage.

If it's your kinda thing, you could use Bulk Up to get more attack power whilst getting def. boosts, or Swords Dance to get a very nice boost on an already very strong attack stat.
