Due to the increase from eight to 18 Premier Challenges per season-year and the addition of online tournaments through the Pokemon Global Link, the points that can be earned for the top players has changed. This means that each event gives less points, but you can play in more. This time your top six wins go towards your overall championship points. So, if you play in four Premier Challenges and three Pokemon Global Link online tournaments, your top six scores will count. The combination does not matter, just the total number and best scores. If you are in Ohio, there is a potential for 72 Premier Challenges per season-year. I run events in Northcentral Ohio (Cleveland area). To my west (Mansfield area), south (Columbus area) and east (Akron area) are three other premier tournament organizers. Not all states are fortunate enough to have as many video game premier events. The Pokemon Company International decides a state's premier-level coverage, we just select the venues.
