Goliosopod GX has made one heck of a first impression on me. I've been super excited to make a deck around him since his leak. After a bit of proxy testing, and guessing at what cards might be in the next format, this is the list that I've come up with. Basically it revolves around resetting the effects of first impression to consistently hit for 120+ damage in any way possible. In play testing this deck was very consistent and I can't wait for BUS to release so I can actually put it together.

Pokemon: 15
4x Wimpod (BUS)
4x Goliosopod GX (BUS)
3x Fomantis (SUM)
2x Lurantis (PROMO)
3x Tapu Lele GX (GUR)

Trainers: 33
4x Ultra Ball
2x Field Blower
3x Choice Band
2x Rescue Stretcher
3x Super Scoop-Up
2x Switch
4x Guzma (BUS)
3x N
4x Sycamore
2x Acerola (BUS?)
1x Brigette
1x Hex
1x Kukui
1x Skyla

Energy: 12
8x Grass Energy
4x DCE

Hi life0nlegendary,

Consider Tapu Koko in this list since he helps with free retreat and can also help to set up knock outs. Hex Maniac will rotate out since it was only printed in Ancient Origins. Four Guzma are a little too obsessive even in a Golisopod deck from my own playtesting. Not a fan of Super Scoop Up since it is a coinflip. Two Acerola will do the trick here. Also consider to run Escape Rope since it has been reprinted.

Dark Espeon,

- Good catch on the Hex, don't know why I thought it had a reprint in Generations, but it'll definitely be swapped out.

- As for promo Koko, I've tech'd him into other decks and he rarely saw play. I'll give him another shot post rotation though since I completely agree with your points.

- Four Guzma is definitely excessive, I just wanted to ensure I could effectively hit the First Impression loop. I'll probably swap at least one out for an Olympia (which I'm positive is in Generations) since it can continue the loop and heal a damaged Goli.

- I like Scoop-Up regardless of the flip. Yeah, it unfortunately powers up Garb whether it hits or not, but if it does hit I don't have to waste an Acerola. Plus I can use it to pick up a Lele from the bench, regardless of damage, and then be able to search out a supporter if need be.

- An Escape Rope is also a good choice. I can adjust some things to try to fit one or two in.

-On another quick note, I was considering making room for a weakness policy or two (since we should be getting that reprint in BUS) just to increase my chances of winning against the new slew of fire decks about to be born from BUS. Do you think they will be necessary?

Anyways, thank you for your feedback, I definitely appreciate it. I'm still semi-new to the TCG and want to get serious about playing in the 2018 season so any advice helps.

I actually really like rainbow energy in this deck to make acerola more consistent. You can also use drampa to in that case.
