With the Japanese "Fairy Rise" being spoiled, the standout card of this set is far and away Sigilyph GX. Its ability to literally trade prizes with about 95% of the meta, both now and when it is released in English, is really good, and I have attempted to make a deck that uses that gimmick ability as a core.

Pokemon (18):
  • Sigilyph GX (4)
Sigilyph-GX – Psychic – HP170
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Mirror Counter
If this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon and is damaged by an attack from your opponent’s Pokemon-GX or Pokemon-EX (even if this Pokemon is Knocked Out), put damage counters on the Attacking Pokemon equal to the damage done to this Pokemon.

[P][C][C] Sonic Wing: 80 damage. This attack’s damage isn’t affected by Resistance.

[P][C][C] Intercept GX: 60x damage. This attack does 60 damage times the number of Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokemon. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When 1 of your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 2
  • Rowlet (3)
  • Dartrix (1)
  • Decidueye GX (3)
  • Tapu Lele GX (2)
  • Articuno GX (1)
  • Zoroark GX (2)
  • Zorua (2)
Trainer (32):
  • Spell Tag (3)
Spell Tag – Trainer
Item

Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.

If the [P] Pokemon this card is attached to is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent’s attack, put 4 damage counters on your opponent’s Pokemon in any way you like.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before you attack).
  • Cynthia (4)
  • Morty (2)
Morty – Trainer
Supporter

You can only play this card if 1 of your [P] Pokemon was Knocked Out during your opponent’s last turn.

Your opponent reveals their hand. Choose 2 cards you find there and your opponent shuffles them into their deck.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
  • Sightseer (3)
Sightseer – Trainer
Supporter

Draw cards from your deck until you have 5 cards in your hand. Before drawing, you may discard any number of cards from your hand.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
  • Ultra Ball (4)
  • Rare Candy (3)
  • Rescue Stretcher (1)
  • Max Potion (4)
  • Guzma (3)
  • Acerola (2)
  • Tate and Liza (2)
  • Mallow (1)
Energy (10)
  • DCE (4)
  • Unit Energy [G][R][W] (4)
  • Psychic (2)

The basic theory of this deck is to start with Sigilyph and use the potion items to outlast any GX attackers who decide they want to fight you. For those GXs that can one-shot the Sigilyph, I have included a combination of Spell Tag and Decidueye GX to add a potential 100 damage per turn to make the task of killing the Sigilyph while not killing the attacker close to impossible. On top of this, the external damage bolsters Sigilyphs attack (if necessary) and still have an effect on 1-prize attackers like Garchomp, Sceptile, CST Metagross, or Dragon Majesty Charizard. In the event that you want to attack and deal with smaller damaging attacks like Buzzwole's Jet Punch, there are 2 psychic energy and 4 DCE in the deck to use.

If Charizard is a massive threat, an alternate way to play is use a 2-1-2 Swampert line instead of the Articuno and Zoroark, but doing so may reduce the consistency of this deck.

Sigilyph GX is too gimmicky not to use in some fashion, and while others have posed different ideas, I believe mine works fairly well, especially post rotation.
