i was looking for some pokemon who have good pokemon tool effects. the obvious choices are slowking (UF) and Dark Slowking (TRR) as well as Rocket's Wobbuffet, but, are there any other pokemon with effects? any tool searchers or tool recyclers? anyone who hits for more damage with tool cards in play or anything?

i coulda SWORN i remembered seeing a card somewhere, whos first attack let you search for 2 pokemon tool cards, and attatch them to 2 of your pokemon. but i cant remember to save my life.

Also, another quick question- whats the ruling on pokemon tools and pokemon EX? i know some tools work on exs, but most say you cant have them on EXs. but, can you not lay them to them PERIOD? or, can you lay it to them, and then discard them immediately?

thx in advance

There are 2 such Pokemon with that attack: Farfetch'd RG and Unown H UF.

As for other Tool Abusers, there's Porygon2 UF, which can return Pokemon Tools attached to your Pokemon to your hand.

And no...it says you can't attach them, and therefore couldn't discard them by the Tool's "intolerance" for Pokemon-ex.

Hiya,
I think you are talking about MC's Mawile. It let's you search for a trainer, if it's a Tool, you can attach it to one of your Pokemon.

Mawile - Steel – HP60
Basic Pokemon

[C] Mining: Search your deck for a Trainer card, show it to your opponent, and put it in your
hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. If the card you chose is a Pokemon Tool card, attach it to
1 of your Pokemon.
[M][C] Bite Off: 20 damage. If the Defending Pokemon is Pokemon-ex, this attack does 20
damage + 30 more damage.

Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Grass
Retreat: 1

ah! thats one of the ones i was thinking of! thanks!

that, and the farfetchd, too. I'm trying to make a decent banette ex deck. so far, banette and mew ex work well together. im thinking slowking might be good, but, i dunno. thats why i was asking about tools.

I made a tool deck, it got me in the Benelux championships (this Saturday), if I win that, I'll go to worlds, so if you want to see a good tool deck, click here

^ yeah, it seems pretty solid. i especially like the slowking/dark slowking combo. i was considering it myself. the porygon 2 combo is good as well, but i dont much care for porygon, so i dont know if i'd use him or not.

right now, im considering the slowking/dark slowking combo with my banette and mew ex combo, and have the whole theme of the deck around filling your discard pile with supporters and pokemon tools. then, banette is hitting for 90, slowking for 80, and mew can copy either of them for just 2 energies. i'd need strength charms though. those i would need to rely on, heavily, to make banette do 100.

Any other tool-related suggestions? or, ideas in general? im trying to get this deck better set-up before Regionals, which is this saturday. the mew-banette combo kicked butt at my league tournament this last weekend, but i wanted to fix it up, cause a lot of what i had in there was pretty much useless.

also considering a 2/2 lunarock set-up, just for lock-down.

drop the lunarock and put in cards who can take back energies from your discard pile, cause you don't need those there, add unown V or marowak instead of banette because banette is ex and has only 90 HP
