Collecting Pokemon Unified Minds and Fates

I'm confused with Unified minds and hidden fates? are these 2 different pokemon sets? in terms of which one is the main one to go for? For example, is the unified minds cards going to be in the hidden fates? if thats the case then whats the point of releasing these 2?

1) Are people going to be more on collecting unified minds or hidden fates?
2) are all the unified cards such as rares/super rares/secrets etc going to be in hidden fates?

Two different sets. Each year around fall we get a 'special set'. Smaller than a main set (which is what Unified Minds is), can only get the packs in special collection boxes and ETBs.

Hidden Fates has a lot of old cards reprinted in shiny form, as well as Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres GX and Jessie and James FA trainer.

Unified Minds is a main set with a bunch of new cards.

Hidden fates is like Dragon Majesty or Shining Legends. You can't buy boosters of it directly; only promotional packaging.

Hidden fates won't be very useful for players, only for collectors (there'll be a few playable cards in it, but most of them aren't, in fact around half aren't in Standard at all). But highly collectible because of the Shiny Pokémon etc.
