Well everyone, here's the project page for Pokemon RPG: Ancient Legends, a pokemon rpg I'm developing with RMXP.

Based off of: Pokemon+FF/Zelda/Dungeons&Dragons (Basically anything with dungeons and magic)= :)
Combat System: FF style, though Summons aka Pokemon are used as the main attack.

Status: Hardly anything at all
-Graphics: .5%
*Mapping: 1%
-Events: 1%
-Music: 1%
-Combat System: Default (0%)

I'll be adding a lot to this page as the project moves along.
Here's the current version: (v.0.01) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VXYXLDD5

Added link to v. 0.01
I'm working on developing the story line a bit, plus I've found some more music that I might use.

It's a download link (Hits self over the head for not listing that earlier)

Thanks. I didn't see that before.

Wow, it's a long download for Fiber Optics. O.O

(Off-Topic: I know you've been really busy, but if you could give me a time frame so I can tell my league when we'll have your banner. I'm not impatient for it, so take your time. :D)

Kevin: Hmmm....It's only a 27 Mb. file, oh well. What do you think of it so far?
I'll try to get it (the banner) done tonight, though I'm studying for finals at the moment.

All: I need help with the concept for the battle system. If anyone has an idea how you can merge pokemon combat into a Final Fantasy-like menu setup, PLEASE TELL ME. I need ideas, as the one I have right now will end up being very limited compared to what I want to be able to do.
Also, any comments, critism, additions, and deletions are welcome!

What program is it supposed to be played on. It wouldn't play for me, maybe I was in the wrong program.

To Play the game;
1. Double Click Pokemon.exe, It should pop up with a directory box.
2. Choose the directory you want the game installed to, Click OK.
3. Now go into where you installed the game. Double click on Game.exe, this launches the game app.
4. a window with a black screen titled "Pokemon RPG: Ancient Legends" should pop up.
5. Wait for the game to load (It takes a couple seconds, so be patient) and the main menu should appear.

Let me know if you have any problems.

I followed those steps and finished them in order. Then on the computer said RGSS100J.till could not be found.

However, I did hear the music and Flygon's cry. Very good.

That makes no sense at all.....Flygon is only heard when you play the game. Try reinstalling it or something.

Update: What's this? A screenie???

Looks like some sort of temple in the desert (duh)....lol, I'm kinda proud of myself for getting something done at least, even if it is only 1 map out of god knows how many. There's only 1 small bug to work out of it, and it shouldn't take much to fix (hopefully).
Arceus (Electric form) is only there for testing/debugging purposes, but Arceus WILL end up being an integral part of the game.

Wow, amazing graphics, all original too.

I'ts strange. I had a few things in different folders. One of them had music and another had Flygon's cry. It wouldn't play the game for me.

Try and get feeback from other people. Maybe they're not having the same problem I'm having with my Computer.

ya, it should be that way..., I don't think anyone else has tried it.
Anyway, I've decided to stick to mapping for now, the combat system and event programming will eventually come later.

Wow that's a nice project, but no we won't be needing sprites. They're so easy to find on the 'net.
The Project now has 3 maps woot! lol
