Hey guys!!

For years, I have doodled in a notebook many ideas for a pokemon game, and lately, my project is blooming, and I have created a title for this fake pokemon game.

Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

So far, I have created over 120 pokemon. However, I'm not really good at creating the artwork and sprites I have seen before.

Here is the backstory for Granite and Cumulus!!

Long ago, the region of Galei had no shape at all. It was just a large, vast and empty ocean. One day, the four creatures of the elements decided to create land from the sea, and they each played a part in creating the land. Flaratore, the pokemon of Fire, created a volcano that quickly erupted, creating a large landmass that would soon become Galei. Granod, the pokemon of Earth, quickly cut away at the land, and created the shape of the region of Galei. Then, Coroneria, the pokemon of Water, and Cumulutan, the pokemon of Air, helped to cultivate the land, until what they had was a vivid landscape with many features.

Each had their own resting place. Cumulutan and Granod both dwell underneath and above Mt. Elenos. Flaratore lived in the deepest abyss of his volcano, Mt. Plume. Coroneria decided to live deep in the trenches of the Sueno Sea.

Soon after, pokemon had become showing up, and because this island of Galei was all theirs, brand new pokemon showed up, that had not appeared in other regions. The brand new pokemon lived peacefully, and little quarrel was evident

The four Elemental Pokemon lived in peace and harmony for a long time, when civilization came. The Elemental Pokemon were weary at first of their presence, but when they saw that they were cultivating the land and growing fruits and vegetables, they were glad that the land that they had created was being used for good. Then, the civilization created towns, and they befriended the native pokemon, and all was peaceful.

Then, as years passed, civilization grew smarter, they harnessed the power of electricity, and pretty soon, they were polluting the island. The four Elemental Pokemon became restless, and to show their disdain, Flaratore activated the once dormant Mt. Plume. Cumulutan shook the region with constant wind gusts of dangerous speeds. Granod shook the earth with earthquakes. Coroneria used the Sueno Sea to create hurricanes.

The people had learned their lesson, and they quickly began to experiment with natural energy. However, one group of people did not want to leave their way of life. They enjoyed the goods that they created while inadvertantly destroying the wildlife. This group decided to name themselves Team Superior. They began work on a secret project, that would stop the Elemental Pokemon from creating natural disasters. Their finished project became the Pokemon of Electricity, Voltan. They created Voltan to have massive pools of electric energy. They unleashed Voltan against the four Elemental Pokemon, and they were no match for Voltan. In order to protect themselves, the four Elemental Pokemon locked themselves away in their respective living places, and they have not been released ever since.

Legend says that they will awaken again once they are needed. If they should ever need to be called upon, they created an elaborate lock mechanism. Before they escaped into their hiding places, they created three pokemon who would act as the "keys" These pokemon were Offlagon, Bouldlagon, and Elelagon. Once the three pokemon would be collected, their harnessed energy would reveal the location of the four Elemental Pokemon

Now, current time. There have been rumors that the new leader of Superior has different plans for Voltan. He wants to use Voltan's power to control the Four Elemental Pokemon, and make them do whatever he commands. You are now ready to leave for your adventure, and who knows. You may actually be the one to stop Team Superior.

Here are all the new fakemon. Artwork for these pokemon are coming soon!

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

I might help, but I am making my own game, Pokemon Obsidian, and also helping with another game, Pokemon Aquamarine. Good luck with this! :

~SS

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Well, Shiny Shinx, if you want to help me, just let me know.

Well, one of the first things I'd like to reveal is that I plan on introducing a new type, bringing the total to 18. The new type is Monster.

Monster is strong against Phychic, Monster, and Dark
Monster is weak against Dragon, Ice, Monster, and Fire

Please feel free to discuss!! Also, if you are interested in helping me, just let me know!

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Ok, I just wanted to drop some knowledge on y'all.

The region of my game is called Galei, and the legends of the game have to do with the four elements. Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. The first games, Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus are obviously the first two elements, and in case of a sequel, there'd be Pokemon Aqua and Pokemon Blaze.

The types for the starters are Grass/Rock, Fire/Ice, and Water/Ghost.
Also, at a certain point in the game, probably the middle, the player will meet another professor, who is in posession of three rare pokemon, who will be Neo Starters.

The Neo Starters are Psychic/Fire, Dark/Electric, and Fighting/Water.

Now, the names for these pokemon are terrible. I am planning on changing them once I have the time for deep focus.

Also, I am in the neighborhood for someone to help me get some nice artwork on these pokemon. I lack a scanner so I can't upload their pics, and since I don't have photoshop, I can't make artwork of them, so if someone who is good at making official-looking artwork or sprites could help, I would really be thankful.

Ok, here are the starters

Firicle (Fi-rick-el) The Reptile Pokemon
Forgeo (Fore-gee-oh) The Moss Pokemon
Marost (Mah-rohst) The Spirit Pokemon

Again, so you can get a better picture, I could really use some help, cause right now, it's just myself.

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

aren't all pokemon inherently monsters...?

also tyrannifrost is too long, pokemon names are at max 10 letters long. (see: victreebel)

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

I'm going to have to change Tyrannifrost's name, then. I never knew that there was a limit on the number of letters. Oh, well, I was planning on changing his name anyway. :)

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Markly? Morting? Just scrap the monster type. It's just a second Dark type. Also fix the names.

~SS

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Also, the Espachu line just seems like a renamed Pikachu.

EDIT:Another note, I'd highly recommend having evolved forms of current Pokemon with their Pre-Evolved forms in the 'Dex. It makes no sense without them. How would you obtain them in-game?

EDIT 2: Eevazy is just Eevee with a slight name difference. Lots of these Pokemon just seem copied from real ones. Sorry if I sound mean, but that is my honest opinion.

I see what you're getting at, paddy, and I am planning on changing most of these pokemon's names, as seen in one of my previous posts. Also, the 130 pokemon I put isn't going to be the actual final Dex, it's just showing you all the ones I created. The Galei Dex is going to feature 251 pokemon.

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

^Or scrap just about every one out there. The Monster type needs to be trashed.

Tyrannitar says hi. Forgot to say this earlier.

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Ok, SS I hear you, but I'm not sure I can scrap the Monster type. I mean, I've been using it for four years. However, I can manipulate it into something different, like, giving it a different title. I'll have to post that on a later date.

P.S. Tyrranifrost is now being called Kyroga

Kyouryuu (Japanese for Dinosaur)
Pyro
Hyouga (Japanese word for Glacier)

Ky - ro - ga

(Key-Row-Gah)

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Kyroga ; Kyogre. Hmmm. Lol, just sayin.

As for the Monster Type, I think you shouldn't try to change it into something else. I think you should just make it Dark type.

Just my two cents.

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Ok, after much long thought and contemplation (I learned that word today), I have decided to keep Monster for two reasons. 1. When I think of the Dark type, I think of evil and conniving, and not very nice. But when I think of Monster, I think of a more crazy berserk, powerful force. Kind of like Dragon. So there for, I believe that Monster ≥ Dark. And also, Dragon ≥ Monster. So Monster is not being scrapped. If you don't like it, I'm sorry. The last reason is because I like Monster.

Anyway, I'd better update with some more stuff.

Here is the complete Galei dex.

1. Forgeo - Grass
2. Treeble - Grass/Rock

Ok, that's the Galei Dex. P.S. I am still in need of people who can do sprites for these pokemon! I'm so lonely doing this by myself.

Also, I will frequently update with new names, and pokemon info and stats. Thanks for your support.

Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus Update #1

Hailo!

Just wanted to dish out more information about Pokemon Granite and Cumulus

The beginning town is called Freshent Bay. It's a peaceful harbor overlooking Sueño Sea. You're adventure starts as you go home from school, when you notice shady characters in an alleyway. Feeling frightened, you run home. When you arrive home, you see your mom watching a news bulletin by herself (the dad is never around, apparently). The news bulletin reports that a shady team of crinimals called Team Superior have starting causing trouble in Freshent Bay, and they are using pokemon to attack the city. The news bulletin also advises citizens to be on the lookout for the dastardly attitude, and all citizens should be advised to be protected, and keep a pokemon nearby.

Your mother becomes convinced that you need a pokemon to watch over you, so you and her travel to nearby Corona City. A man named Professor Maple runs a lab in Corona City, and you convince him to give you a pokemon.

The pokemon you pick is either Firicle, Forgeo, or Marost. On your way out, you pass another young boy, who seems to be headed to the lab. Once you arrive home you play with your pokemon, when the boy you passed at the lab goes to you. He says

"Hey, I saw you at the lab. What's your name?"
...
"(Name)? That's a dumb name! My name is, (You give him a name)."
"Yeah! That's my name. You picked a (Marost, Firicle, Forgeo)? That's funny, I picked a (Whatever one beats your type). If you battle me, I'll tell you a secret, deal?

Say yes, and you get hurled into your first rival battle.

"Ok, I'll tell you my secret. My dad says that Team Superior is going to take over the city. My dad is really smart! He's in Team Superior!"

And with that, he leaves.

Now that you have a pokemon, your mother realizes it's time for you to go out on your adventure, and you start out, but before you go, you get stopped by a Team Superior grunt who tries to steal your pokemon in a battle.

You manage to win, and you run out of town, and end up in Route 301. There, you meet a (boy/girl, depends on which one you pick). They tell you that someone needs to stop Team Superior, and you realize that it may as well be you.

And with that, you start off on your adventure

BTW I am still in need of someone who can make sprites or artwork of my fakemon! I really need this done please!

Guess what guys! My sis just got a new printer, and what do you know?

It comes with a scanner!!

I will now be able to put up sketches of these creatures very shortly, which means there will me little to no confusion anymore

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus

Toxeon belongs to nabby101, Sweet Dawn Berlitz, and the Pokemon Aquamarine project. Which includes me.

Oh, that's ok, I was planning on changing the name to Veneon anyway.

RE: Pokemon Granite and Pokemon Cumulus
