I feel like I am one of the few people that is aware and not afraid to admit that Cynthia is currently without a doubt, the most overrated champion of all time (with the exception of Steven from OR/AS). She is a great champion but there are some people who treat her as if she is some sort of god. If you want to me to explain the rest then just ask...

Cynthia is the champion with the most air-time in both the anime and games so it's only natural that more people like her because there's more people coming in contact with her. Gary was Champ in only two old games and only during the least amount of time (aside perhaps from N), Lance fortunately is forgotten by now but that's good in order to keep his mystique, Steve was revived with ASOR so it's natural that people are enjoying him while they can, I never liked Alder so he may very well remain a shadow and I can't speak about Diantha.
About Cynthia...she's cool and mysterious but I must confess that if I see her again...she's coming low! If she's overrated...As far as gamers are concerned, I actually don't know because I don't even remember to see here a discussion about a favorite Champion, so it'll be even less to speak with other people about it. As for her status among the creators, I don't know if she's appeared in XY and ASOR or was even mentioned but if not then good because I didn't liked to see her in B2 and her last appearence in the anime was irrelevant.

PS: N deserves to return as the champion of the next generation, but no more than that!

Edit: to speak more about Steven...he was much like Lance and I liked it that way. I'll always remember him as he is in R/S/E, not in ASOR.
Oh yeah, there's still Wallace...he was a cool champion in Emerald but I felt him as being a shadow of Steven.

For the games people always say things like. "Her team is too good!" "Her theme is the best!" "Best team with EVs and IVs!" "Her Garchomp is the sh*t!"
It sounds more like a fact than an opinion...

Speaking of Garchomp, because people say that her Garchomp is powerful I can't help but think this:
In that new Pokemon movie trailer where all of the legendary Pokemon were killing each other, I thought to myself, "Eh, Cynthia's Garchomp can take them all down"

Edit: A few weeks after OR/AS's release people were immediately demanding D/P remakes, saying that Cynthia's Mega Garchomp will be the end of the world...
