Ruling Poison and Sleep

A judge told me this at my PR today, I'm just confirming that she was right for future notice.

If the Defending Pokemon is Asleep, and I then use a move that causes the Defending Pokemon to become Paralyzed, does the new status (Paralysis) take over and the Sleep go away? Or does the old status (Sleep) remain?

Also, as a secondary question (mostly out of curiosity), what would happen if both players' Active Pokemon are knocked out by poison at the same time, causing both players to draw their last prize?

Paralysis would override the Sleep because you can't move a Pokemon in two directions (this being right and left respectively).

Other Professors can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Sudden Death would have to occur if _both_ players had Pokemon on their Bench. If one person didn't have any, the other person would win because they win on Prizes and Benching the opponent out.

dmaster out.

Just confirming this is correct. If they both have a bench then you go to sudden death if they both took their last prize. If one player doesn't have a Pokemon to promote then their opponent wins because they have met two win conditions instead of just one.
