Well... That depends. I know the ones on here are, but on a few other sites I visit they're like this, and I just think these look better.

I guess it's just personal choice, as both fit.

Just tried my hand at a new userbar.

Is there a quick way to make the lines that most people have? The X's don't look very good.

You know how the lines on here are different than the ones I have? I'm asking what the simplest way to make these lines is.

It's a pattern. On Photoshop, draw a little square with diagonal lines on it and save it as a pattern.

The exact same thing.


Make a pattern by using a square canvas of 6 by 6 pixels. use pencil tool to draw a diagonal line, save as pattern (should be .pat extension for gimp). Put the pattern file in the folder where patterns are stored. Then you can pattern-fill it using bucket tool.

There is a temporary approach where you can just copy the pattern into your clipboard, then pattern fill, with "clipboard" as the pattern of your choice. For this you wont need to save a pattern but you'll need to redraw the diagonal line everytime
