[OU] Fist of Lucario

Here is my possible team for OU XY metagame. It is my first shot at a real competitive team rather then just a for fun team like I used all through BW.

GOING TO NEED A HELP ON A REPLACEMENT MEGA.
Mega Lucario (Steadfast) w/ Mega Stone
Move Set:
Power-up Punch
Extreme Speed
Swords Dance
Close Combat

The main man! My favorite mega so far and the heart of the team. He deals heavy Damage with Close combat in his mega form and extreme speed is great at priority kills. He can then of course set up with swords dance or power up punch!

Venusaur (Overgrowth) w/ Big Root
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SPA/ 252 SPE /4HP
Move Set: (In process of making)
Sludge bomb
Synthesis or Growth
Giga Drain or Energy Ball
Sleep powder

The special attacker! Hits hard and can take some hits. Can set up if I choose growth or heal with synthesis, which is better? Sleep powder is there to slow down threats.​

Greninja (Protean) w/ King's Rock
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 ATK - 252 SPE - 4 HP

Move Set:
Water Shuriken
Power-Up Punch
U-turn
Waterfall or Nightslash

My favorite Gen 6 pokemon. He is there as another priority user and he is really fast. U-turn lets him scout and power up punch can allow him to set up. King's Rock and some luck can make water shuriken deadly.

Snorlax (Thick Fat) w/ Left Overs
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 252 ATK - 128 SPD - 128 HP
Move Set:
Body Slam
Toxic
Rest
Crunch or Earthquake

My Fatty. Snorlax here is used to wall and spread the hurt. Rest keeps him alive and Toxic slowly drains them. Body Slam does most of the work while crunch helps with coverage, could switch with earth quake.

Nidoqueen (Poison Point) w/ Black Sludge or Life Orb
Nature: Bold
Evs: 252 DEF (I think I split the rest between HP and SPA but Idk the exact numbers)
Move Set:
Earth Power
Ice Beam
Toxic Spikes
Thunder Bolt

The queen is here to support and for type coverage. She can poison with spikes or her ability. The rest of her move set can hit different coverages. I am leaning towards sludge more then Orb because I put the EV's in her bulk.

Clefable (Magic Bounce) w/ Toxic Orb
Nature: Calm
Evs: 252 HP - 252 SPD - 4 SPD
Move Set:
Wish
Protect
Heal Bell
Toxic

Clefable is here for her typing and support. She can wall dragons and stall if needed. Bounce helps get rid of annoying moves. She can poison to wear people down and then support the team with the rest of her move list.

Hi here is my opinion and some suggestions:


Lucario: This Pokemon as a mega is banned from competitive
battling in the OU tier which you said this team is meant to be.
you can still use a regular Lucario

Venusaur: Where is the nature and EV spread? I prefer using
the mega one. Regular Venusaur is decent only with its Hidden
Ability in semi or full sun teams. Giga Drain is a better choice over
Energy Ball to gain more health and makes harder to bring Venusaur down.

Greninja: EV? Nature? Ability? Physical Greninja is outclassed by
the special set. Greninja is one of the few great special sweepers in
this physical metagame. There are way better physical sweepers out there.

Snorlax: Its okay and again EV nature..

Nidoqueen: If this Pokemon is meant to be your utility Pokemon then definitely
give it Black Sludge and not Life Orb. Toxic Spikes is not a good hazard this gen
with all those flying and levitate plus Mega Venusaur and other poison types.
Just use Stealth Rock instead. you can also give it Roar so you can phase out
some set up sweepers.

Clefable : Too much toxic. Snorlax is handling this department. I think you
should give it something else.
By the way what is Toxic Orb for?
And its Magic Guard not Bounce

One thing I noticed, if you are using Swords Dance, then why do you have Power-Up-Punch?
Please include EVs and Natures to help us understand te pokemons job a bit more.
And also on Lucario, since he is banned from OU (as it was mentiones above), you can only use regular form, and when I played BW2, I ran him specially with Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere, Earthquake/Ice Punch and Pychic, he is powerful and boasts an incredibally diverse move pool, so I recommend running him mixed or special as the opponent won't know what was coming!

Yeah I had thought about mega Vensaur But I don't have the stone yet and I wanted to focus on another mega. I guess I could switch him out.

Thanks! I just liked the move but yeah I should drop it! I like your Idea but I just love mega lucario so I might just save him for an uber team haha I just love those dreads!!

SPD is for special defense while SPE is for speed :
Fix clefable. and others if you meant speed and not special defense.
if you like physical Greninja it is okay. I guess you meant

Kings Rock is a gimmicky item on Greninja. Greninja
loves Life Orb.
Snorlax is still okay with the right nature and item.
Now for Clefable.. Toxic Orb is a nice item if you don't have
anything else. Protecting Clefable from paralysis and sleeping
is nice but Leftovers recovery and Life Orb with no recoil damage
are more useful. (Specially if you have Heal Bell)

What new mega should I use to replace Lucario? Scizor?

Since I can't have 2 left overs or 2 life orbs should I stick with toxic orb or just drop it all together?

You can have 2 items of the same in wifi battles.
The item clause exist only in battle spot.
Mega Scizor and Mega Mawile are great options to
replace Mega Lucario. Both fills the role of a set up physical
sweeper. If you choose Scizor then your Snorlax is a nice partner
thanks to its fire type resistance that Scizor hate. In which case
giving it Earthquake would be nice to switch Scizor for Snorlax
on a fire type and use Earthquake. Still wont work if its Talonflame
so if you are willing to replace Snorlax you can choose Tyranitar
which is a great fire type check that can use both Earthquake
and STAB Stone Edge.
