Probobly because I have the regular nintendo (NES) and you can't even get it repair or fixed anymore unless you have somebody in your family working at nintendo and can fix it for you. They would pay a lot for that kind of reason because it is so old the it is a legendary system. I have had my system since 1985 and it still work to this day and I have like 22 or 23 games for it. Same goes for the SNES I have hd it for 15 years and they will not fix that anymore and I have about the same number of games for that and it still works. I think nintendo will still fix the N64 because it is only 10 years old and in 5 years they will not fix it anymore but if you go to www.nintendo.com and click on customer service you can see what systems they still fix but that is why people would pay a lot because most of them can't be fixed anymore.
You can send your system into Nintendo and have them fix it - though it would cost you a hefty amount of money to do so. In the far-future when they are super-rare - ofcourse they will be worth a ton of cash. But even then, I wouldn't sale it
Not in the near future, but definitely yes. Like any antique, once the product line is discontinued (like the N64) there starts to be less and less of them making them more valuble. Keep yours for about 20 years and you'll have a very, very, VERY valuble antique.
i think it'll still be worth a lot. i have hung onto my super nintendo and etremely big fat gameboy because i think it'll be valuable. we're talking thousands!
