What is the official ruling on foreign (ie, Japanese) cards?

You must have a english form of the card you show it your oppent when you play the other foreign language card.

Or you can have a POP approved translation of the card that you must show when the card comes in to play.

I read the TCG FAQs but it didn't help me.

What if there is no English release of the Foreign card.

as far as i know, if the card has not been released in english yet then you cannot use it in a tournament. its because there would be no pop approved translation of it. i could be wrong but i think that is the case

Did you read the last paragraph?

If the card hasn't been released in your region, then it's illegal to use.
