Hello guys! Chess is amazing!

This will be the official thread for challenging and creating tournaments. In tournaments, you may PM/profile post to the other player (confer and agree before the match). Please keep score so the results of the match are verifiable.

Just post a request and someone will challenge you!

Randomize for White/Black in tournaments.

To add on and bump this thread, chess.com will be the default website for playing the games. Please provide your username on that site when signing up for a tournament.

If both players in a match agree to use another site, then that will be okay.

Make sure to keep the logs of the games played.

You need to set up the time restrictions for the tournament. 15 minute with time increments? 5 minute with no time increments? Bullet chess? etc.

Uh, Why didn't I notice this when it was posted earlier. Funny enough, I was actually thinking of posting this thread a couple of weeks ago.

I love chess (Especially considering I'm spending most of my summer playing, teaching to kids, practicing, and planning lessons for my High School and Junior High team about chess).

I was thinking that it would be appropriate to have a tournament here and to bump this thread.

8-person, 2-person top cut tourney.

It will be 3 Swiss Rounds. 1 point for a win, 1/2 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.

Just finish the game

I'll give a week for deadlines and it doesn't have to be live chess.

I will be generous with time extensions if they are necessary

If the game goes too long then neither player will receive points, if it was both player's faults
