Eh, Artemis Fowl. I'm probably the only one who got that....
I already said Of Glitz and Glory was my favorite part of the game, but the train part (3 Days on a Train, or something like that. Related to Snakes on a Plane, maybe?) was also lots of fun. I thought this would be real boring, just riding on a train then exploring suburbs for a Star Crystal, but it turned out to be a blast. The crew on the train was hilarious, and I enjoyed the mystery of finding Doopliss. Then, the train station in the middle of the desrt got my vote as best set in the game. My only complaint was that the boss was real dumb. A bunch of fuzzy-esque creatures morphing together? Please. Although, fighting on top of a speeding train was pretty cool....
By the sound of things, I'm the only one who ever uses Star Power attacks.... I'm in LOVE with Art Attack: On the smaller enemies, you can get almost as much damage as Supernova for 2 less SP. Plus, it's easy to do. Not like Supernova, which requires insane button-mashing (Remember that mini-game Star Fox Adventures?), or Ground Quake, which requires insane precision.
Sweet Feast is pretty good, too, as you can get around 15 FP, 15 Mario HP, and 15 Ally HP each on one turn... But those @$#% poison mushrooms are quite a bother....
And can you believe that it was only after beating the game that I found out you could switch out a dead partner? I just
barely beat that Shadow Queen, as Vivian (my best attacker) was dead, and Mario had only 4 HP left (but Art Attack saved the day with the finishing blow!!!). I could've switched out Vivian and brought in Bobbery to use as a chushion. Max upgraded, he has 40 natural HP, and throw on 2 HP Plus Ps and he's a 50 HP wall. Too bad half the Queen's attacks hurt both team members....
Oh! I have a question: Is there some southern island you travel to? (besides Keelhaul Key) I got the hint because it says your Yoshi comes from a southern island, and Wonky (
shivers) makes a few references to it... Whatever that fortune teller's name is, Merlee I think, also told me that I could find a star piece right off the pier on a southern island... I looked on K.K., but I couldn't find it... and if she wanted to tell me it was on K.K., wouldn't she just say it right-out? Hmm...
