We might have been screwed If Romney won and honestly in this Election there was no "lesser of two evils". One is in favor of Socialism and the other in Capitalism, this country is as good as heading towards European Policies that have ruined other countries with high unemployment and high gas prices.

do you even know what socialism is

and also what about european countries like germany? they seem to be doing pretty alright

Well I've heard rumors that socialism is bad for thriving countries, also I don't see how expensive gas prices in Germany equals a thriving economy in that country.

I'm not upset. I don't like either candidates as much as I would like, but I think this is a good chance for Obama to get back on his feet. The last 4 years were a tough for everyone and a lot of problems are beginning to be cleared up. Can you finish the job, Barack?

I voted for Gary Johnson btw.

I'm glad to see people not being hotheaded about this. I very much agree with everything you just said.

Might as well lock this thread anyway, the last thing I want is people ridiculing me for my political views of the 2012 Election. In the words of Boris the Animal from Men In Black 3, "Let's agree to disagree."

No one's ridiculing you. If you're posting your opinions, then everyone else has the right to do the same.

In other news, I'm eager to see what the political media makes of the election results. I'm sure the morale at FOX news is less that substantial at the moment.

We already know that the Republican Tea Party has been a bad influence in the U.S. Government which is what really led to Obama's victory for a 2nd term. We could've seen a much different turnout If it wasn't for them but then again it might of been the same result as we've witnessed just recently.

Mitt Romney gave a good concession speech showing positive sportsmanship to his Democratic Opponent Barack Obama. If only Republicans could follow this example especially the crazy nut Donald Trump who wants to start a revolution that would tear this country apart worse than the Arab Spring in Egypt and Syria.

I'm happy Obama won.

CSJ, to me Germany seems like the place to live in the future. It has the strings of the EU in it's hands and it seems to be doing damn fine. Gas prices are not the most important thing in life. xP

I just wish people would understand to let Iran do what it does. Do people really see it as a serious threat?

I'm glad that Obama won, but the president doesn't really even matter. Congress is what matters, and with that said, we'd be in the same hole even if Romney won.

I'm still in-training when it comes to politics, and honestly, I've lived in a Republican house all my life. There's no doubt this is clouding my thinking, right?

My dad's always watching Fox News, which I know is a VERY Conservative channel, but even so, I listened to Romney's promise about getting the economy back up, and making America successful again, and I found it pretty inspiring.

We also similarly listen to Conservative talk radio, and from there we learned about these terrorists that murdered the Libyan Ambassador, along with his staff, Stolen them before murdering them, even!

Since my dad exclusively listens to Conservative programs, I don't know what the Democratic side has to say about those two crucial issues.

I didn't vote, so I don't have a right to complain about the result, but I still hope Obama SOLVES those problems I just talked about....

Hooray, now I have a chance of getting my right to marry another man. Might not happen in the next four years, I understand that, but it sure as hell won't even be considered with Romney. >_>

Oh, and my parents won't take pay cuts and/or get fired. That's good, too.

How can you expect anyone to "solve" the issue of a Stolen murder.
