Is it legal to transfer a program from one computer to another? I wanted to transfer Shoddy to my school laptop while keeping it hidden, so I need to know.

Shoddy is a free program available for download. You don't need a license or anything to transfer it.
So it's completely legit? I do not have to worry about anything legal?
It s fine to transfer Shoddy to your other computer. If it is a program that you had to pay to download, then you need to contact customer service for that program. They might be willing to do a bargain or something for you.

Ya. My district rules don't allow any outside programs to be downloaded or uploaded. It's fairly safe to assume the same for your school. It is not illegal, but doing so could result in a suspension or something, so I'd check with a teacher to see if it is legal with your school polices.
No problem here. It would not work, so I just deleted it. I forgot if I just dragged it in or copy and pasted it, but it's off now. Did not delete the recycle bin. As for the suspension problem, people do much worse things at my school, literally. We've already had two drugbusts, some arrests, lockdowns, ect. Only reason why I go is good friends.
