they did that once but i forgot where but people didnt quite know the official rules for the team battle so thats why we do competitions for 1 on 1 instead
All official competitions are 1vs1. 2vs2 was only brought in because the GBA games had 2vs2 battles. I have played a few 2vs2 games and if your opponent isnt good, he/she will take you down with him/her. 2vs2 is fun though, but it takes a long time to play a game.
