New trade forum rule?

Do you think this rule should be established?

Hello everyone. I have a suggestion for the trading corner. You see, I am sick of people who have certain cards, but they won't trade them. It makes no sense, because you are posting in the "trading" corner so cards should be for trade. I think it should become a site rule that you can only list cards you are going to trade. If you are in favor, vote on the poll. If not, vote on the polll! I just would like some feedback here.

Thanks for your time

I thought it was already a rule, but I guess not. Anyway, yes, I think this should be a rule. If someone lists cards but does not intend to trade them, then the cards are essentially there for bragging rights.

I think that it depends either way.

For example, if someone has a Lucario LV.X that brings memories, and likes to hold on to it, they may not trade it for just a Darkrai LV.X.

But let's say that an offerer will give a Magnezone LV.X, AND a Darkrai LV.X for it. They may trade it. But then again, who would make such a deal?

It usually depends on the timing and offer, I think. Unless they say that they won't ever trade it. Then, what's the point?

Well, there is actually two ways to look at this one.

1)People put exceptionally good cards in their thread, to draw attention, so while viewing this thread, they may find something else of interest;therefore triggering a possible trade.Which, eventually gets them more refs.

2)Others may find this as show-offy or bragging rights. Nothing else there...

So, for this predicament, I would say that it doesn't become a rule, and let people put on their thread what they please. If they don't want to trade it, so what...they have the right to decide whether or not they want to.

The original poster never said anything about posting cards that they will trade for only another certain card. Honestly if that was the case, then this thread should be locked because they are still willing to trade that card, just for something specific.

Oh, I'm sorry...I didn't realize that you liked having your time wasted. When someone posts a list in the Trading Corner they should make it as clear and concise as possible. If they don't specify that they aren't trading a certain card that they listed, then they most likely just wasted the potential trader/buyer's time.

Then the card just becomes a waster of space and of people's time. So what, right?

You guys all make good points, but i think that it is hard to determine whether it to be a rule or not. It makes sense, but some cards do draw attention or bring memories, and you can't help but put this on your thread, i still think it should be a rule just for trading purposes...you know?!

If it's there for bragging, no. This forum has its values too. No arrogance.

This has been an ongoing problem, and really it isn't a big deal. Most people will trade something in their thread, and if not, then just don't post offers. It's as simple as that.

dmaster out.
