I'm not sure whether is this the right place for this thread. If not, mod please move it. Thanks.

About the topic, does anyone here plays Naruto Card Game? If yes, is it nice to play? Is it fun? I want to get opinions on this because I bought a booster the other day (out of curiosity) and found the cards to be rather interesting. So, I was wondering whether I should try playing it or not. Any advice, opinion etc on this topic will be helpful.

Thanks in advance... =)

I tried to play it, but didn't really understand the whole concept of the game, so I just stopped. i haven't seen many people playing it.

I'm thinking of actually starting the game again with cards. I don't have much cards. So I have to start collecting than I will start playing. But I haven't really seen people for a long time playing that game.

I 2nd that!
Yes, I also play it....but I can't keep up with 3-4 TCG's @ a time...that's why I stick to Pokémon or YGO.

I recently jumped back in after being mostly absent since around Dream Legacy. Block format refueled my interest and got several other players in my area to give the game another go. So far we've been having quite a bit of fun with it. I'd highly advise giving the game a shot, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

My loss of interest in the Anime/Manga itself for Naruto was half of the reason why I quit playing, the other reasons was that it wasn't fun for me anymore after Eternal Rivalry with the power creep build up in each set afterwards. I honestly didn't know what Bandai was thinking after Eternal Rivalry but it got to the point where they really dropped the ball on the game itself IMO.

I didn't like how I was stuck having to play decks that my other friends were running and couldn't play something different while trying to do pretty good. Alot of times it just seems too cookie cutterish much like my problems with Yu-Gi-Oh! way back when. For some reason the game just seems to be about Aggro Rush tactics and trying to out-tempo your opponent while having to luck sack.

Block format I think was long overdue
for the game itself, but then again the game is expensive with the Super Rares and Promos and the game itself has already become a rich man's game because of it. I think that If Viz Media had gotten ahold of One Piece a few years ago instead of Naruto when Bandai's One Piece CCG might of still been around today I probably would had another CCG to play.

I played last year, and it was a very good card game, just not a lot of players. It is worth playing if there is people who play it by you.

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it. :) Was pretty busy with work and stuff for the past few weeks. So, I couldn't reply as early as I would want. I think I would just treat the Naruto Card Game as a side collection because I'm way behind the latest sets and focus more Pokemon and I certainly agree with the point on spending money on more than 1 TCG. It can really drive someone bankrupt. :O Not literally but you get the idea. Once again, thanks for the feedback. :)

Simply put - it's a decent game.

I myself live in Britain, and all we ever got released was an edited version of the Base Set with Haku, Zabuza etc. and Gaara, and basically went up to the introduction of Gaara during the Pre-Chuunin Exam arc.

I bought both starters and some packs, and the cards are actually Yugioh Sized, but I still played it. I also obtained a Spanish Jiraiya/Naruto Deck from the same company while on holiday in Spain, and have obtained a few Naruto Promos from the American Shonen Jump magazine I import.

Basically, it was a mishmash of different sized cards, which I used sleeves with anyways. The game itself was interesting as you had to form Teams of Ninjas and use Techniques by utilising your own Chakra pile etc.

I'd recommend it, but it's not one of my main TCGs. I personally prefer playing Yugioh, but have recently got back into Pokemon again instead of just buying and collecting the cards.

Yeah Hungry Ninja gave out a pretty good summary of the game as a whole on the Bandai Site. It's called, "A History of Solitary Innovators":

Coils of the Snake, Curse of the Sand, and Revenge & Rebirth meta I think was the best then afterwards the game went downhill. Eternal Rivalry and every set afteward had ALOT of power creep.
