I came up with this basic deck idea back when Arceus came out and I bought a couple packs and got a ton of Burmy/Wormadam. I thought, hey, why not make a Mothim base deck? I got myself a holo Mothim from the set and I was good to go. I knew it would have absolutely no chance in actual tournaments, but it was a fun deck to say the least. I took it apart so I could use the parts on better decks later. I was going through my cards the other day (sorting and such for the rotation) and I found the skeleton of the deck so I built it again (except for the HGSS stuff, it’s essentially the same deck).
So the idea of the deck is to start with either Spiritomb or Pichu (you don’t have to, but it would be nice). Spiritomb can evolve any Burmy you have (or Baltoy). Pichu fills your bench with Burmy (or Baltoy and Spiritomb) for easy set ups. The Burmy from Arceus have a built in BTS so you evolve them as soon as possible. Mothim from Arceus gets the rest of the Burmy/Wormadam you need, Mothim from Majestic Dawn does 90 (or Belted 110) for one energy and is one of the main attackers. Wormadam Trash is also a good attacker doing 90 (you want to be Belted here) while doing nothing to yourself and automatically (if set up right) blocks 60 damage from all attacks (body protects from damage). Wormadam Plant can attack too, I like the Secret Wonders one personally for high HP, but the triple status from Arceus is useful. Sand Cloak is just sort of there, I don’t like it that much, but it can do some damage if it needs to. Claydol is draw power. Azelf searches for prized Claydol or Holo Mothim.
Obviously, it can’t do much, but it is a very fun deck to run in League, just for lolz. I have beaten some decks with it, but not much.
