I wonder if Shaymin has anything to do with the delay. Perhaps they are waiting for the Japanese to officially reveal Shaymin so they won't reveal any secrets.

Perhaps, but I don't think we will see any sign of Shaymin in the game. PUSA STILL hasn't revealed Darkrai, but you're right they would probably do it so they wouldn't reveal any secrets....
If its coming out in July, I'm going to explode with rage, and I'll ask all of you to go with me and scream at PUSA.
I doubt it though, since we are going to get Darkrai in TCG form in February, and they usually don't realese the movie too much later.
I would also like to have a legal Darkrai. Hopefully my brothers don't have a basketball game on the day of the download...
And, for some reason March 5th just hit me one day as the release date of the movie. (it was also in one of my dreams...)

That's what I was thinking.
People, be realistic about the delay. There is NO POINT in getting mad at Nintendo for delaying it. For whatever reason, they just weren't ready to release it yet, so they had to announce that they were delaying it even more. We need to be understanding with this misfortune. And besides, the delay can only, I repeat, ONLY make the game better. It won’t kill us to wait another month while they improve the game, will it? I'd like to think not. Sure it's disappointing and all, but at least they're making the game. Lol, but it's true. What would we waste all of our time on if we didn't have Brawl? :0
That's an interesting thought, Kay Gee.... Although, if that's true, then it tells us something about Shaymin's official uncovering... The date. Meaning that they don't plan to announce it to the general public until sometime between early February and early March. I dunno, though.

Well I can't wait for Darkrai as for the game I paid full price so I just have to pick it up when it comes out.

When it first started surfacing that it was going to be on the Wii I thought it was going to be on Gamecube. Then Nintendo Power did a special about it and it was call Super Smash Planet in the Special So I think there was a lot of changes made and it is delayed for many reasons. We've been getting almost identical games to the USA, but SIX MONTHS after the US gets them, waiting 1 extra month is nothing (even if it's the so-maniest delay), and it's really pathetic if you just can't wait an extra month for a game you'll probably still be playing in 2 years. If Nintendo wouldn't have revealed a release date in the 1st place, you'd be complaining about that, so they do release one, and now you complain because they just can't get the game the way they want it by that date. Just wait, it's only a month. For all we know, Europe might as well be getting it 6 months after the US gets it. If you think 1 months is long, try waiting HALF A YEAR for a game everybody else here already has...

6 months is a really long time....that means you won't get the game until August/September...
Oh well, I didn't want this game a whole lot anyway. I think a likely story for this 4th delay, might be because they won't have everything translated in time, since originally the Japanese and American games were only going to release 3 weeks apart.
I may be completely wrong on how it got delayed, although I don't think it will be for the better of the game like Togeshroob said.
The reason for the first delay was understandable. It was supposed to be on the Revolution (Codename), but then they officially announced that it was going to be called the Wii. I can understand a year delay; it was by no means ready. I can kinda understand the second delay to February. Kinda. This recent delay is just stupid. If it's for Shaymin/Darkrai, that's dumb. I understand that other countries have to wait longer than even us. I get that, but the longer it comes out for us, the longer it comes to you. It's a lose-lose situation, and don't laugh/bash. People can say whatever they want (to a certain extent), so it's just courteous to show a little respect.

Anyway, I don't think it'd be for Darkrai, considering it would have been released on February 10, and the odds of Darkrai being revealed by then are 99.99999999%. I don't even know why they would include Shaymin so early, since we haven't even gotten Darkrai (offically) yet. Shaymin ain't going to be revaled until the very end this year or early 2009.
I have no clue why it got delayed....

Personally: It's extremely odd to see Shaymin in SSBB. I suppose Pokemon USA is just now feeling the pressure of releasing Event Legendaries so late. (Perhaps it's not their fault?) I hope they're not cutting Shaymin out of the game for the US version. xD That'd be saaaaad...

They could just let it come out of its Poke Ball after a certain date or something. I doubt that would be hard to program in.
They might have a downloadable disk available around the time Shaymin's revaled and if you download the disk onto the game then it will allow Shaymin to pop up.
I'm going to wait until a lot of people have said Shaymin is in the English game before I go out and buy it.
