Recently I've become fond of using the burning shadows Alolan Ninetales. It's ability is supposed to prevent all effects of attack, including damage done to itself, however when going up against a Mewtwo EX that uses damage change something very odd happens. On the PTCGO the Mewtwo EX first gets rid of all it's damage, and then the opposing pokemon gains the same amount of damage, so technically it's not the same damage counters, they're just counted up to be equal to the amount Mewtwo EX had. Here's well the trouble starts. I was facing a damage change Mewtwo, and it used damage change. First it's HP disappeared, but Ninetales didn't take any damage so turn after turn Mewtwo would fully heal since the damage would have no where else to go. Is this considered a glitch? Or is this supposed to be this way?
